I picked this for the fast switch time and it delivers on that. The wired remote is excellent and a great feature, and it worked perfectly on two Macs without drivers or install effort. 5 stars!

My only complaint is that the HDMI and USB cables are separate cables. This causes the cables to get tangled and you sometimes have to follow it back to see if it is for input 1 or 2. I bought some wire loom to keep each pair organized and it solves that issue. My older one, the cables were connected until about 8 inches from the end.I build between 30-50 computers a year. I had an old 4-port KVM with VGA from IOGear that has lasted 8 years with no problems. However, it was getting annoying as all new computers have DP or HDMI and I would have to find adapters. This 2-port with HDMI has been great with new builds and only has one USB plug for both keyboard and mouse where my last one had one USB port for each.

I share one monitor, a focusrite audio interface and wireless keyboard and mouse between two desktops. I wasn’t sure this device could handle all of this, especially the external audio box, but so far it has done the job without any issues. Very happy to have found this solution. I reached out to the company for advice as to which product I should purchase and they responded quickly and led me to this one.

Have 2 laptops sharing a new Samsung LU28R55 and the KVM switch works perfectly fine with the exception of the screen randomly going blank for 5-10 seconds at a time. It happens when switched to either laptop and when the KVM is removed, no random blank screens. So, it's in the switch somewhere or an unknown configuration in the monitor that can't be resolved. I called IOGear tech support with no resolution. Unfortunately, I missed the return window by one day due to travel, so now I'm an owner of a Switch that is unusable in my configuration. Helllllooooo ebay!

Bought this IO Gear after having to return another KVM switch that was not compatible with Windows 11 IOS. This unit works flawlessly switching back and forth between my old Windows 7 PC and my new desktop PC running Windows 11. Another plus of this particular KVM Switch is that all but the monitor HDMI cable, are hardwired coming out of the back of the unit.
