I bought these to drill into our super hard ground to insert stakes and similar stuff.I haven't used them yet however if my opinion changes I will update this reviewEdit Dec 14I have used these items a handful of timed and they work perfectly. You just have to really tighten your chuck or they will get loose

...but I am not sure if my drill is inept or what the deal is. In all fairness, my battery needed changing-- but it kept dying throughout this process. Also, I was trying to dig a hole in Texas clay-- it calls for 48" deep! Yeah right!! These augers appear to be well built and will work for a prepped bed-- to bury bulbs and or small shrubs etc. I just couldn't get but maybe 3 turns and the auger would come off my drill. When I could get it to work, it performed well. I just think it boils down to the clay and not enough power, so I didn't keep them as I have a manual auger that does the same thing and is taller.

I used the two inch auger to drill holes for planting 70 daffodil bulbs. I will probably use the set again for placing small plants in the garden. Even if I never use them again, the augers saved me hand digging in my clay soil. The time saved was worth the cost of the set.

With this tool, I was able to plant over 120 bulbs in less than an hour. Super easy to use just attached to a drill. I’d recommend starting the hole pulling it up, going deeper, pulling it up and repeating the process to get to the soil depth that you need for your specific bulb. Getting three different sized auger bits at such a great price really provides a lot of value.
Disappointed

I use the bigger one is a large battery powered drill/ mud mixer mortar to plant tomatoe plants in the garden. No digging.

I ordered these to make my gardening easier and our son LOVES them! He has found lots of ways to use them and has told me to just let him know where to dig when I get ready to plant. TWO wins!
