Kindly tips:
D : S= 12 : 1, means the Distance to the Spot Size of the unit is 12 : 1. As the Distance(D) from the target surface increases, the spot size of the area measured(S) by the unit becomes larger. So in order to get more accurate temperature, please pay attention to the Distance to Spot Size, or it will get some error if you neglect this.
Thermometer collects the infrared radiation energy from surface of the stuff that is focused by red laser, and transfer this information into electric signal via photodetector, then analyze and calculate its temperature. So please keep in mind that what you get is the surface temperature not inside temperature.

I bought this for my outdoor pizza oven. We needed to check the temperature of our pizza stone and not trust the gauge that comes with the oven. I now have the perfect temperature before I place my pizza to cook and what a difference it makes when we are having a party, and multiple pizzas are being baked!

I have not used it for making candy yet. I did test it by boiling water.I love you this for making my peanut brittle. But it also is useful all around the house for bath water and other things to check the temperature for. The battery life I haven't had to replace the battery yet

My son is very interested in electricity, wiring, gadgets, science and more. He found this and added it to his Wishlist, i believe for birthday this year or last Christmas. He's enjoyed using it to check the temperature of a lot of things near and far and it seems to work really well!

I love the idea of instantly being able to check the temperature of food but I question its accuracy. I tried checking the temperature of some candy I was making & the temperature varied a lot when I checked several times in a row, so I do not feel confident using this thermometer.

HabÃa pasado por 3 distintos termómetros de comida para fabricar mis productos, hago shampoos y acondicionadores sólidos. Y este termómetro me ha funcionado súper bien, me gusta que no entra en contacto con la materia prima y me parece acertado en sus mediciones. Súper practico y más profesional para lo que hago.
