Excellent quality! Nice firm fit between the cover and the dish.We used a much better-known brand of covered butter dish for years. The cover did not stay in place and if it fell off the butter dish, it would crack from hitting the floor.We love everything about this butter dish - great look, great feel and the firm connection between the top and the dish means the cover won't fall off as easily, and the butter will stay that much fresher.

I accidently broke our old butter dish in a horrible kitchen accident that involved a plastic door that was reluctant to close, and the miscalculated destruction of about 4 tablespoons of butter. (it is a day that will live in our hearts and minds forever). I decided to go with something plastic since, in my later years I seem to be getting a bit more clumsy, and I was intrigued by the idea that this dish sealed air tight. "If I drop this one", I thought, "not only will it be less likely to break, but my precious butter will be safe from the evils of a possibly dirty kitchen floor!"The appearance is standard, so no frills there, but the top does fit very tightly, and the dish is made from very solid plastic. I have no doubt this butter dish will last for eons, and become a precious and prized family heirloom for generations to come! Ok ok, it's a nice butter dish. You should get one.

I was impressed by the quality of this product when it arrived. It is made of a thick glass which seals airtight and reduces spoilage. There is even a scale built into dish to show how much to cut for whatever amount you need. I definitely would buy again.

I bought it for the church kitchen, and it works great. It has a rubber base so it doesn't slide around, a secure top so even if it fell the top would not come off, and the best feature is the built-in knife scraper, so if you have leftover butter on your knife you can scrape it right onto the dish!

I love this butter dish! I like soft butter and have used the ceramic tubs, butter bells, etc before but this is compact and seals so well and I don’t have to stuff the butter in a bell or worry about the seal in the tub. I’ve been using it for several weeks now and the butter keeps really well. I’m going to order another one for when this one is in the dishwasher.

I don't use my butter that often but I like it soft. The air tight seal is great. I've not had any issues with my butter going bad or getting contaminated. It's easy to clean and put a fresh stick of butter in.
