Fly Different Sized Kites with Different Sized Kite Reel !!!
If you want to fly the kite easily and save energy, choosing the right kite wheel is the key, if it is a kite of 2 meters and below, a 8-inch kite wheel is completely enough, if it is a kite of more than 2 meters, it is recommended to use a 8.7-inch kite wheel. If it is more than 2.8 meters, it is recommended to replace it with more professional kite flying equipment.

I am very happy with the weight of the string and how well this reel works. It sits well in the hands and allows for efficient string management. It is well built and strong/thick plastic. It is not cheaply built.

I hook up my active chihuahua to this. He likes to run. I can now let him run as much as he wants safely in the pasture, I can reel him in very quickly if I need to it’s also a lot of fun to fly kite with this it gives you great control and very easy on the hands

Having a Kite reel like this definitely sets you apart from the "just fly it" crowd. It takes some practice to be able to operate it without having to look down every time but once you figure it out, it is a fantastic tool. Sadly for me, my hands are too big to use this size as intended.What I like ~• String is ready to go with a fairly stout spinning connector on the end.• The action is very smooth and the leader guide ensures the string rolls out and in neatly.• The "dark blue" color I ordered looks fantastic.What I do not like ~• My hands are too big, even for the larger 8/7" version. I am using only my fingertips to hold the center which is very difficult when the kite is big and the wind really picks up.• The "lock" works okay but it would be even better if it was spring loaded to ensure it stays locked.

The idea behind this reel is awesome, the execution leaves much to be desired.The first time we used it, my wife lost almost half the line because as she was letting out line she could not easily control the speed and it went so fast it wrapped around the spool several times and had to be cut out each time. There is no way to easily let out line unless you hold the handle and turn it backwards, which is not worth the effort. In order to lock the line in place so that it will not continue to extend requires three hands and four eyeballs and is not ergonomic at all .We will be looking for one that has a braking mechanism in the center grip area that you can squeeze to slow the outgoing line. We are hoping we can give this to somebody that won’t be mad at us when it doesn’t work for them either .

I took my kite out to the beach, near 20mph winds. It is scary how fast the reel spins, be careful not to catch your fingers on the knob as i smashed mine trying to stop the spin. It takes a strong arm and stamina to reel it back down to the ground. My kite is near 300 inches long so it was heavy. Like reeling a big fish up out of the water.

Very easy to real but instantly gets tangled! It would be perfect if it came with a guard over the string.
