This is a well-made and very nice pet door. Installation is tricky because of the trim panels that go between the two parts of the frame that go on either side. First, they need to be trimmed depending on the thickness of the location. Two, they are straight, while the frame is curved on each side at the bottom (though if you're careful you can curve them to match). And they are all too long and need to be trimmed. The instructions are incomplete and end with drilling the holes for the screws that hold the two halves together, but most people should be able to figure it out. My biggest complaint is that the template you're supposed to use to cut the opening is not the right size. I had to do quite a bit of trimming to get everything to fit. That said, once installation is complete, it's a very nice door.

My old dog door fit perfectly like a glove and never jammed or got stuck. I only got this because I got a bigger dog and needed a bigger door. This was cheap, but not cheap enough. First of all it's difficult to align both sides properly unlike most half-decent dog door that have two halves that are foolproof and fit together like a glove and lock together with a tounge and grove like design. This one is not like that, the two halves do not lock together, and even if you alight both sides in perfect harmony, the door is prone to getting stuck or jammed. Not only that, the instructions were near useless and don't even tell you what size socket you need for the nut (it's an 8mm, at least that was the size that fit the best). And the hole that the nut goes into is too small for an 8mm socket, or any socket large enough for the nut to fit into, as I have shown in a picture. As a result, it's impossible to tighten the nuts. The only way to do it is to use washers, which are not provided. Luckily I had some extras. And the bolts are too long for most doors of average thickness, so if you want them flush, you need a hacksaw. They're not even the kind that have breakable ends in case you need to shorten them.Overall, I'd give zero stars if I could, and the only reason I haven't returned it yet is because I've already cut the hole in my door and need something there in the meantime.

I wish the plastic flap hadn't cracked just after 4 months of use. Otherwise...I have one large and one medium dog. The large one is a golden retriever poodle. She is larger than your average retriever. The problem I find is most doors are way taller than they need to be. You only need a door to accommodate the width and height of their body, not their entire standing height. Dogs are agile. They can lower their heads and raise their legs. This one had good width and a height that wasn't excessively tall. I didn't want a huge door that looked inviting to intruders. It worked perfectly.Only other complaint is the locking tab on the cover that slides over the opening to disable the door broke. Still okay because the cover still works and dogs can't figure out how to slide the cover off anyway.

I actually purchased this for my Chicken Coop. I needed away for my chickens to be able to go out when the weather is a little questionable and I can’t open the entire coop for them. This was a great solution! When I leave in the morning, I don’t always know that it’s going to storm while I’m away. Chickens know enough to get in out of the rain if you just provide them a way. I made them a little ramp leading up to this door so if the storm comes while they’re out in their run and they don’t want to stay out in it, they can run inside and be safe and warm. I did have to take the magnetic door off because they didn’t care for that. But that’s OK. It wasn’t meant for chickens. It just works for them! I would recommend this for anyone else wanting to be creative with their Chicken Coop.

We have three dogs that use this door constantly running and jumping through it. We haven’t had any issues with any of the pieces breaking or it coming apart. It’s very durable very sturdy easy to install. It’s been our best purchase this year.

Works well and gives our pets their independence to come and go as they please. Installed by a third party who had no issues with the installation.
