I purchased a door opener made by a different company from Lowes. It did not work to close the door all of the way. May have done so If I modified the installation by moving one of the brackets that either holds it to the door or that mounts onto the door frame. That being aid this Larson product installed and worked as designed with the Larson door without any modifications. My recommendation is to stick with the opener that carries the same brand name as the door on which it will be used.

This is an easy and inexpensive way to upgrade your old storm door. Allows easy locking to keep door open by using your foot to activate button like new doors. Simple to install. Even Fits in old hardware. Just take pins out and replace piston on bottom of door.

I ordered a cheaper closer the first time. When it arrived, I found that the design was poor. It had the lock button the side and it was too wide to close the door.This one has the button located on top. It's the same brand as my door, and works perfectly. Took longer to open the package than it did to install.

Bought this brand name "Larson " product expecting some quality. Sadly, it failed within 6 months. Fails to hold door open, just like the original Larson that lasted 6 years.

I bought this storm door closer to replace the one on my old Anderson glass storm door. It fit perfectly. All I had to do was pull the 2 pins and place it into the existing hardware. I did adjust the closure speed but that was to be expected. This was half the price of the Anderson closer. I'm very pleased with it.

The Larson door is a high quality door, I would recommend it to anyone and have. Our Hold open closer shock for the bottom of our door required replacing so we did so. The part showed up early but after only a few days after installation, it would not hold our door open in all position. Instead it slides and clicks as it skips over the teeth until it finds a position that will hold it. Better than our old one that did not work at all after three years of use and plenty of use at that. I will be reaching out to Larson for help.
