Great addition to the Yard collection of tools. Works as described.

After trying two different types (this was the second) I have gone back to using a shovel. The piece of metal from the shaft to the blade part is weak and bends easily.

It came very dull so I had to sharpen it and the shaft bent the first time I used it. The handle is nice but I bought it to cut the grass off the driveway. It's hard to use when the shaft bends and twists.

This is a nice tool for edging beds and I've used it on mine twice now. With that said, I do have concerns about the handle giving way under too much pressure. I can feel it starting to give when I come up against an edge with very firm soil. I live in Ohio where there is a lot of clay in the soil and so during the summer when there is not a lot of rain, it tends to harden up quite a bit. To be safe, I've started holding it closer to the ground when edging some sections but this obviously reduces leverage. Not a deal breaker, but a more sturdy handle would have been nice. Otherwise, a very nice tool and it gets the job done.

Nicely made edging tool with a sturdy steel blade. I was very pleased with the length, light weight and finish of the fiberglass handle. A quality product for the price. Ima very pleased with this purchase will be using it for years to come

Before getting this I was using a flat shovel to remove the grass that has over grown on the sidewalk. The shovel worked but was not as easy as this tool by a long shot. The blade was fairly sharp when it arrived but after reading some reviews I decided to sharpen it a little more. That definitely made it much easier to cut through the thick grass. Sturdy product and the adjustable handle is great since my husband is tall and I'm short.

When this arrived, it wasn't sharpened beyond a slight bevel one side of the cutting edge. I sharpened it and put it to use along our concrete patio and sidewalk. The grass is a mix of Bermuda and weeds, which creep over the concrete every few months and begin to overtake everything. I normally use an electric edger, but wanted something simpler to use that didn't require going out and buying replacement blades for every other use. Once sharpened, this tool does an amazing job. I have a similar edger that has a triangle shaped blade, and it was always slow to use, and didn't do a very good job. This oe is much easier to use, and I can rock it while applying a little pressure with my foot, and as I'm rocking it, it can be moved along the edge of the concrete to continue edging. It appears the blade somewhat self-sharpens as I'm using the tool, because it didn't really get dull during use. I may have to touch up the blade once in a while, but it misdoing very well so far, making it simple to get a nice clean edge along the sidewalk and patio. I was actually able to keep a pretty good pace, probably close to whammy electric edger can do, so I'm very happy with that. If you're looking for a well designed, and well built edger, this is a great option. Just give it a good sharpening before starting off with the first job.

It’s not sturdy at all. I bent it the very first time I used it. I doubt it will last a week with daily use.
