A great value. Strings intonate accurately, and have a nice feel. I've only had them on for a week so I can't comment on their longevity. I believe they are mildly coated. They are not as bright as the Paradigm strings I usually use but are was l WAY less money per set.

So, I switched to using ONLY Elixir brand strings in around 2001 when they came out. Prior to that, I was using regular uncoated strings (usually Martin SP). The regular strings would only hold their bright tone for about a week, so I was changing them quite often... several times a month usually (more if gigging). With Elixirs, they will hold the bright sound for months and months... often over a year!!So, I'm pretty faithful to Elixir brand for my steel string guitars.(I tried "Cleartone" once and they were so horribly dead sounding when I put them on, I never tried them again. As far as I know, Elixir has the patent on using the Teflon or Gore-Tex coating and I'm not sure if any other brand offers a similar coating.)So when I saw that you could get FIVE sets of strings that were "Nano coated" for the same price as ONE set of elixirs, I had to try. Nobody had written a decent enough review to steer me one way or the other, so I figured I would go ahead and buy them, try them, and then do a community service :-) and review them. These appear to be the strings that come on the very very cheap guitars. I don't know enough about string manufacturing to be able to specifically say how they cut corners here or how these strings are different, but the wound strings do feel a little bit rougher under the fingers. Nothing major. Plain steels seem fine. They are not as bright right out of the box, but they do sound bright and new enough and they feel pretty decent when I play on them. I've been playing on one set for a week. These are just light gauge strings despite the term "medium" being used. But the big thing is this: There is, as far as I can tell, absolutely NO coating on these strings. Even with the thinner coating you get on the nanoweb strings that Elixir sells, you can still see the coating. After you play for a while, you will be able to see where the coating is starting to flake off where your pick hits the strings. It will look like microscopic little hairs on the string. I do not believe they put any sort of Teflon or any sort of coating on these Lekato strings, and it dawned on me that they could use the word "Nano" and "coating" and it doesn't really mean anything specific. So do not buy these strings if you are expecting to replace your elixirs. But if you just use regular D'Addario or Martin or Dean Markley or whatever brand strings, and just need to string up a bunch of your guitars that are sitting around while on a budget, they will do the job just fine. But do not expect coated strings like elixirs here! I'm not sure if I would buy these again or not. If I did not use elixirs regularly, I might consider it

These LEKATO acoustic guitar strings are a solid choice. For around $15 with the current discount, you get five sets of strings, which is a great deal considering how much a single set usually costs. Each string is labeled at the base, making it easy to figure out where they go—even if you already know, it’s a thoughtful touch.I’ve been getting pretty good at restringing, and these were an easy, smooth process. None of the strings broke on me while winding them up. The sound is bright, with nice sustain and balanced intonation. I mostly play electric guitar, but I restrung a friend’s acoustic since his strings were dirty and old, and we were both impressed. The guitar came back to life with a fresh, crisp tone.I’ve had a good experience with most LEKATO products, so I ordered these with confidence, and they didn’t let me down. For budget-friendly strings, the quality and sound are seriously impressive. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for great strings at a reasonable price!

Terrible strings. These are the strings that you would find on the most generic acoustic guitar at Best Buy or something. They're dead right out of the box, strangely thin and bizarre tension. It's almost like they're not made out of steel or any material that you would make a guitar string out of. They're very strange and they broke when I was just trying to tune them up for the first time. I cannot recommend these.

These strings are surprisingly good for the price. They intonate well, have a nice feel, and the individually sealed packaging with numbered strings is convenient. The tone is a bit less bright than some, but they hold tune well and offer excellent value overall. I'll update on how long they last.

I expected a better string, but I guess at this price they were OK. When I replaced my strings with these I noticed a "tink" when I secured the ball end under the bridge pin on the high e string. As I brought that string up to tune, it popped out of the bridge. The string had broken off at the ball and the ball fell into the body of the guitar. The string broke where it was twisted to secure it to the ball end. I opened another pack and it did not break, and I was able to tune it.The strings are a bit stiffer than the strings - of the same size - I usually use and the tone is not as warm or bright. In general they sound a bit duller than my other strings. It was worth the try, but I will not buy these again and will drop the extra cash for my go to strings.
