This lock did not fit securly to my Tesla J1772 adapter. It was just as easy to remove the charging cable with it as it was without it. Really disapointed with this because I to make it more difficult for someone to remove the cable from my vehicle when its charging.

I have seen some negative reviews about the lock not fitting properly. That's probably because people didn't read carefully before buying. The seller has clearly listed to the series of adapter that's compatible with this lock. I did the due diligence and checked the serial number. The series matched so I ordered it and it's a perfect fit. There have been a couple of instances where people unplugged the charger from my car and plugged it into their car so I wanted to avoid that situation in future. This lock works well with both my 2020 MX and 2023 MY. I would recommend it.

It doesn't work with all the adapters. It won't fit the really old fat ones. When attached, it does a great job of keeping the plug locked in place. I tried to disconnect the adapter and the best I could do was get the car to stop charging for a second (not connected well enough) and then it continued. Would like to see these in red as well... to help make them more visible.

Imagine you are charging your car at a charge point station and you come back to realize someone unplugged your car for no reason. Did sentry mode pick it up? Of course not, that would be too convenient.If this happens to you, this product definitely helps prevent it. I have a 2020 Tesla model 3 and this product functions as intended. It fits well, is not expensive and the plastic does not appear to be cheap.Here’s why I cannot give it 5 stars, I noticed the product doesn’t fit the same the first time I used it. While it still fits, it doesn’t fit as well.MOST IMPORTANTLY: it’s not convenient for me. The lock works so well to detach the charger from my car, I have to open the charge port on my console or app. This releases the charging cable. Normally just walking up to the car is enough to make this happen, for some reason when I use this device, it doesn’t work (not sure why or if it’s even related to the device itself).So get it if you need it, I stopped using it most the time. I only use it if I’m not familiar with the area.

I'm glad it came with 2.In that case when someone tries to break it or is just being naughty or if I lose one I have another they will try to take your charger and put it in their own or just be nasty and throw the charger on the ground.

This item was suppose to latch and lock onto public EV chargers for the tesla adapter...upon trying it out for the first time, the fitment was an issue and it popped right off. It does not lock and prevent others from removing the plug from your tesla...
