I've been using Little Giant pumps in our fountain for ten years. The first pump operated almost daily for eight years before it failed. The next two pumps failed within a year. To the company's credit, both pumps were replaced under their warranty. The current pump has been operating flawlessly. The pump is on a timer and runs about 8 hours a day - in the summer, it operates about 10 hours.

Love these pumps, they come with a three-year warranty and they do a wonderful job.

I kind of figured it was gonna be a hit or miss buying it here in Amazon, only lasted six months ,! 178 dollar literally down the drain! Talk to the manufacturer they would've given me a warranty,,, last pump I bought lasted four years. ! Same conditions ! They cheapened out somewhere !!

I was going through one of these pumps a year. I will say it was my fault for incorrectly storing it while weather prevented me from running it year-round. I live in Az and it's too hard for me to run the fountain during the summer at a 110°f with algae build up so I stored the pump in my garage on a shelf. This caused the seals in the pump to deteriorate and render it useless. I now store it in a bucket of water during the summer and it works. These pumps are great

Arrived when they said it would and I put it in the pond and it is working fine. Always liked Little Giant pumps and this is no different.

Poor value; (less than 12- month life span). Plus last one was defective on installation and required disassembly and repair. Unfortunately, we used to keep a new backup (because of limited lifespan) but then it was too late for replacement (Amazon’s 1 month warranty). Very poor and negative Little Giant customer service. We would find an alternative but our fountain plumbing is permanent and configured to this specific pump. My recommendation is to avoid Little Giant, if possible, and especially do not buy a backup until the unit quits. Amazon will provide quick delivery as needed, of course.

This was my second pump. My first one lasted for years! I use this to pump water in an aquaponic setup so it runs 24/7. I tore apart the failed pump to see if I could fix it. I was surprised by the quality of it! It is very well built, quality materials, and a beautiful design. Why it failed is water leaked into the case and shorted it out. If I would have drained and replaced the oil when the water leaked in (little plug on top) I think it would still be working. How would I have known water leaked in? It started shocking me, a little, when I grabbed the pump in bare feet. When this new pump fails I will be replacing it with the same in kind.

We purchased this pump and it was discounted due to a little cosmetic damage as written in the advertisement.However, we received the pump and the wire was cut! That was not how it was advertised. Beware!
