Laser Guidance
- Do not point laser directly at eye or indirectly off reflective surfaces.
- The 12:1 ratio means at 12" the laser temperature gun is accurate for a one inch spot, the distance between the temperature meter and object should approximately be 7.87 inches (20cm)
- Long prss trigger to find the MAX value during the continuous measurement
Self-help calibration between -5.0℃ and +5.0℃(-41℉ to 41℉)
Under self-help calibration mode, to calibrate the laser cooking thermometer gun between -5.0℃ and +5.0℃(-41℉ to 41℉).
For example: if the temperature is 26.3℃ and the temperature value measured is 25℃,then and 1.3℃ should be increased as a calibration value,and after calibration press the mode key to return to the measuring mode.
Max/Min Record/EMS Adjustment
Mode switch key: press Mode key to switch modes in turn among MAX → MIN → EMS → CAL → MEASURING INTERFACE.
- MAX: measuring maximum temperature
- MIN: measuring minimum temperature
- EMS: under this mode, select the emissivity 0.95 with ℃/℉ key or emissivity 0.8 with laser location key.
The maximum and minimum values are the maximum and minimum values of a single measurement, that is, hold the trigger and press the MODE key to switch to the maximum or minimum value during measurement to view the maximum or minimum value of the measurement.
NOT FOR HUMAN BODY TEMPERATURE!
NOTE: The measured temperature for humans or animals will not be correct.If you insist, please refer to the instruction manual and other reference objects to complete the calibration before use.

I needed a Thermometer to test a catalytic converter and my expensive unit wasn't working so took a chance on this- I was pleased at how well it worked and the added probe thermometer came in handy cooking!

I really like the Infrared Thermometer, but it appears to be off 10 degrees. It's easy to use, and I'm just compensating for the calibration issue.

Worked well for about 1 week.Today it started misreading -- sometimes it will randomly read up to 10 degrees F low or 5 degrees F high. I have 2 other infrared pyrometers that I compared it to, this one has the accuracy issues.This isn't a calibration issue, it will read accurately for a while, then give clearly incorrect results, then back to correct readings again. It comes and it goes.Removing and replacing the batteries did not change the random occurrences.Positives:The calibration function is great, you can adjust the offset exactly as needed.Easy to read displayEmissivity can be set to either 95 or 80,Negatives:- Annoying beep that serves no purpose whatsoever- The meat thermometer that comes with it is not a fast response thermometer, it is far too slow to use while cooking. It's pretty much worthless (additionaly mine reads ~1.2 degees higher than it should, and you can't calibrate it)

It have two type of thermometer one for meat and another one infrared thermometer. Both are digital and give very accurate measuring. Infrared thermometer can be use to check body temperature also.
