This is a great replacement for a DVR security system providing clear imagery and many features. Old head unit wasn't working anymore, so purchased the Lorex as the replacement. It worked out of the box with our existing HD cameras, and the well-designed Lorex app works well on the phone and laptop. Also, it operates silently, as the circuit board and hardrive doesn't require a fan. Hopefully, it will last a long time.

The old DVR system (a Night Owl system) died and I bought this to swap out. It was quick and easy and done in about 20 minutes.

Hooked up and got all cameras going with little effort. Got app set up on iphone and working as well. Camera images better then expected too.

We bought this as a replacement for another Lorex (they have about a 3 year lifespan) but once it was plugged in, the screen was in Chinese and when you right clicked with the mouse, nothing prompted on the screen. Returned it.

Didn’t work as expected. Existing lorex cams worked then stopped all at once. Returned & bought a POI cat 6 system lorex has at Costco, happy now.
