This is a simple magnetic mat, with a grid. I use it when disassembling small complicated items and the screws need to be grouped and ordered. It works well. It is especially helpful when you have multiple sizes of tiny screws which came out of a device in some order and you need to keep track of them. I also like that you can write on it with dry erase marker.Very handy and not expensive.

It certainly is helpful for organizing parts and screws when tearing down a drone. I also take pictures of every step holding the screws next to the holes they came out of. I laughed when I tried to erase what I wrote on the mat with the supplied dry erase marker and it didn’t erase. I had to get the eraser wet for it to work. The mat works well enough and does hold magnetic screws in place nicely. But not all screws are magnetic, like aluminum screws. Handy tool for organizing your components and screws. I am happy I bought it. -MW

This came in super clutch when I was disassembling my Xbox series X to Try to self diagnose. Was able to keep track of exactly which screws belong where and they all stayed exactly where I put them on the mat. If you’re reading this before you purchase just look at the instructions because I was about to get a little bit upset when I couldn’t erase the dry erase marker but then I was like oh it says you have to wet it down. I was just thinking of like in the classroom when you draw something on the board, you can just use the eraser right away. You don’t have to wet it. Because it says dry, erase not wet erase so yeah But it’s whatever.

This is the second time in 3 days I ordered this product. Both had problems. The first was only the cardboard backing, not the magnetic mat, as one other customer said. I returned it and ordered a new one. The second, which arrived today, is not magnetic (at least not well enough). I regularly use several of these magnetic mats at work when working with small electronic components with small screws and hardware. I am familiar with them and never had any problems with them. This mat is not worth the time or aggravation and I’d recommend Amazon remove it from its marketplace. I’ll be returning this one as well.

This is the beginning of my electronic's repair journey. These tools already help me a ton!Used them on my Ibanez edge3 trem setup. Eased through it due to everything being here and allowing me to organize my screws as I progressed.Took apart rotating lights for my dj sets and fixed them. On to the fountain fog machine that broke...should be easy getting into that and finding out any problems.Thanks for this setup! Look forward to watching all the videos.
