I got two sets of these to replace the factory strings on two new guitars (a black Vangoa acoustic electric, and a Hesper dreadnought), and they're perfect. They did leave some oxidation residue on my fingers after stretching them out, but they're clean, bright, snappy, and easy on the fingers. There's also very little string squeak on these. I like the silk-wrapped ball ends for preventing wear on my new bridge holes, and they're staying in tune very well. These are a great value, and the quality is outstanding.

I put these on my guitar (Taylor) and it seemed the 3rd (G) was "off". Sure enough, when I tuned everything up, it broke and I compared it with the same gauge (.023)from another guitar and the Martin string was a thicker string.I added a 3rd string from another guitar so I could play and these strings do have a nice sound and, even better, are very easy on the fingers.This former folkie appreciates not having to struggle to make cords having long lost my callouses.I received an entire set of replacements, which I really didn't want, and saw immediately that the replacement set had the correct 3rd string.So. Word to the wise. If you are able, check the strings before putting them on, to be sure they are the size, gauge, and type you ordered before going through that whole tedious installing process.

Martin Marquis 80/20 Bronze Medium gauge strings (MA150S). I recently switched from light gauge strings to medium gauge strings. what a difference. wish I would have switched years ago. I am playing a smaller bodied rosewood guitar (OM-28). Better sound projection. Deep full woody sound that I love. Bridge pins fit better. Will increase the neck relief ever so slightly so you may have to adjust the truss rod. I recommend you try medium gauge strings at least once to see for yourself.

Finalmente delle chitarre che suonano come si deve!É da qualche mese che vago alla ricerca di corde che suonino bene per la mia chitarra acustica (una é una Cort e l'altra é una acustica di provenienza Colombiana, molto particolare). Le corde che ho comprato precedentemente sembravano perfette ma dopo poche ore iniziavano a dare problemi principalmente sul Sol e sul Si.Appena si saliva di qualche tono con la pressione sulla tastiera iniziavano a stonare e ad uscire fuori tono di parecchio! Proprio ora che avevo bisogno di registrare le mie canzoni per pubblicarle!Queste (appena le ho montate ed accordate) hanno iniziato a suonare benissimo, mi stavo quasi emozionando dopo due mesi di ricerche!Ve le consiglio ad occhi chiusi, sono morbide, suonano come devono suonare e sono rifinite per bene. Hanno tante piccole chicche che le altre marche non hanno se non sui modelli "premium".La punta é sottile (non rivestita) nelle corde più doppie ed agevola l'inserimento nella meccanica e dalla parte del ponte ci sta un pó di cotone (forse?) per non rovinare il legno su cui poggiano.Spedizione veloce, due giorni ed é a casa e pacco perfetto! Grazie Amazon!

Monté en remplacement des Originals 80/20 bronze. Style plus vintage. La sonorité est toujours aussi satisfaisante chez Martin.
