This metronome is well built and doesn't need batteries, the latter was the reason why I bought it. The mechanical wind-up timing mechanism works well, with a consistent "tick" that lasts for several minutes (depends on the tick frequency) when the spring is tight, and the sound is loud and clear. The case is surprisingly attractive "wood grained" plastic and there is a plastic cover for the pendulum when it is not being used. This metronome is just what my daughter needed to improve her rhythm timing.

Many similar models, but wanted one with battery power to avoid hassles of charging. Volume, modes, and speed are easy to use. Highly recommended.

This metronome is made of plastic and is lightweight. It does come with a clear cover unlike others you might see on Amazon as well as dust cloths and a little clip. The metronome does a decent job at keeping time until you get to the 50 mark and below, at which point sometimes it stalls, works fantastic at higher beats per minute. The bell is annoying but some might find useful as it dings every 4th beat. For the price I think it's a good value, not sure about how long it will last, the arm is a bit flimsy. Be sure you read all instructions before using it, taking the cover off is hard, you pull down, and to use the bar you need to slide it out, not pull on it, otherwise you might bend it.

Unfortunately this broke within a couple months of purchase and very little use. I would not recommend.

I like 1) the beats, 2) the notes' rhythms, 3) the sound of the click and sound of the beat, the voice counter, and the fact that it runs on batteries Or continuously with USB-C. It has every function I need in a metronome. I'm pleased with my choice.I originally went the digital route because it's the only way to use a metronome with headphones. In addition, an acoustic metronome doesn't have all the options that this one does.I almost called this a budget metronome because it's affordable but it does way more than any higher-priced stand-alone acoustic metronome. It's got all the options and is made well but is not a budget metronome. A first-rate device for practice, priced right too.

Tut was es soll. Farbe auch sehr schön. Könnte nur ein wenig leiser sein.

This metronome has an attractive shape, though I found the grey plastic case bland even with the printed gold logo. The device is quite light weight, which is good for transportation but may have an impact on stability. It is straightforward to set up, just remember to remove the lock device under the base. Squeeze the lock between thumb and forefinger and pull straight out. I do like the retro feel of the clockwork wind-up mechanism. The metronome device produces a loud clacking sound as it strikes the beat, which is not as clean as others I have heard. However, you will have no problem hearing this device when playing a musical instrument. While it may be handy to have an accent bell, the bell sound is weak and not so easy to hear. Early tests show the device is generating beats within the stated 1% accuracy. This metronome has a clockwork mechanism that works well, in the short term at least. It produces a loud beat though the accent bell is hard to hear. I think it is a tad expensive so does not offer great value for money.
