Assembled very easily. Had to modify the back side of the half round trim inserts to accommodate my stereo but was easy with my dremel tool. Nice pocket below the stereo. Fit and finish is nice.

I knew I'd need a kit for my 2008 PT Cruiser when I decided to remove the crap factory radio. This does the job but assembly is a little... odd. It's not difficult by any means, it just snaps together where I'd assume there would be a little more to do. If you want to use the pictured plastic ears to hold the radio in place then you'll either need to get a radio that includes the screws or buy them separately. If you use a DIN mounting sleeve then there's no need for those ears. I love Metra installation kits...especially the ones with the addition of the pocket above/below the new aftermarket deck.I normally purchase all of my stereo equipment from Crutchfield and take the free or discounted installation gear from them. But this time they included a deck mounting kit I did not like, so I ordered this one with the pocket instead.The fit was fine with no issues, but the snap-in cover plate has an issue I'd like to go over.The included cover plate snaps into place with very few attaching points, and none across the bottom of the pocket. So what ends up happening is every time I put my phone in the pocket and slide it out...it catches the cover and bends it out. I haven't broken it yet, but I imagine someone will. My solution was to glue it it place with some high-quality CA glue I use in my RC cars.Great install kit otherwise.

Nice duble din for 04 dodge durango had to custom fit it in my truck to work but used a dremel to cut a few notches here and there and now works perfict its deffinetly intended for a plane single din that dosnt have a screen but like i said i customized it to fit my needs got a 10 inch power acoustic deck in mine and looks great after minor customization happy with the price and shipping will post picture as soon as i get a chance.

Flawless fit on my 3rd gen and holds the radio snugly. Prior to finding this Metra 99-6507, I purchased Scosche Install Centric ICCR4BN and it was terrible. In addition to the wiring harness plug being incorrect for my truck, the dash kit was a suboptimal fit and did not provide a very firm grasp on the radio. I returned this kit and found Metra 99-6507. Such a huge improvement. The Scosche is made in China, and the Metra in the USA. It's a no-brainer - stay away from Scosche and buy this.

Does not include the screws to mount the head unit to the mounting bracket, since those are unique to each head unit. It does leave 2 semi-circular black areas beside the head unit where the Dodge radio knobs used to be. I didn't care because I got a 10.5 in touch screen that sat in front of everything anyhow. As-designed, this adds a new small cubby above the existing Dodge cubby, but in my case, both were hidden behind the touch-screen. Very solid with no wiggles when installed. Exactly fit the 4 screw holes in the dash and the alignment pins were spot-on too.

Careful while pressing this together, even more careful when pulling apart. Where the plastic pieces click onto eachother, those little plastic spokes can easily snap off. Otherwise it's perfect for my 2010 pt cruiser with an aftermarket radio.
