So I usually buy Dyson, and I loved Dyson when they first came out. But the one I had most recently was upright animal/ ball and it felt so cheap. It was flimsy feeling. Either way the motor / rotation on the head died and it stopped sucking. So I took a risk and bought this. First this is a QUIET vacuum. I love that you can use the hose without pulling it out of the base of the vacuum - instead you just remove the head of the floor piece. I like that I can fully clean the chamber I don’t have to stick my f- hand in the debris to get it out. The cord goes back into place with a button. And they say that they have the same suction power / more than a dyson. But here’s the deal, the head it comes with does not have rotation it’s meant for flat hardwood floors, so you have to buy another head - the turbo. Which works well, it’s just not motorized so it feels less substantial than the Dyson which felt like it would suck the carpet up. (I liked that, to the point it almost wouldn’t move). I think you have to get another version to get a motorized head. This version you can only get a suction driven head. It is a really nice, serviceable vacuum - I’mSick of buying things that deliberately die and you’re forced to buy a new one. For the cost of a Dyson it should be more serviceable. And it shouldn’t die in 2 years. I had the first Dyson ever and that thing went from 2009-2021. It was a sad day, even worse now that I think about the fact that I got a new one that turned out to be flimsy die in 2 years junk.

This is our third vacuum cleaner in 8 years. We first purchased an Electrolux canister vacuum cleaner much like this one. We had a lot of issues with it, particularly after we had to replace the broken floor attachment. We were able to fix it a few times but then we purchased a Shark upright vacuum and this was good for about a year before it started clogging. When it finally stopped working, we purchased this Miele. It was a bit rich in price for me, but it's been so reliable in the past 6 months. I didn't want to review it just yet to make sure we didn't jinx it. But we are very happy with it. It has good suction, it's easy to maneuver and lightweight. The only downside is it does not have LED lights to light up the floor like the Shark did, but it's ok. It's been super reliable. It's great for wood floors and sucking pet hair, just make sure you get the pet hair attachment nozzle, which is extra.

This is the worst vacuum I have ever owned, not sure what happened to Miele - I had one years ago and it was fantastic, this one however has never worked properly since I purchased it and today it just randomly seems to have died for no reason?! The power cord catch hasn't worked since the second time I used it, the suction power is a joke and it gets clogged almost immediately upon using. I have a small apartment with mostly hardwood floors and just a couple rugs and this piece of junk can't even handle that. Do yourself a favor and save your money. This was a lot of money to spend on garbage.

Okay...so I'm one of those: a vacuum aficionado! Love to take my time and perform a chore that presents instant gratification and that everyone appreciates. I've been down all roads...from Sebo to Kenmore to Electrolux and even to the bagged Miele. Many pals of mine have all the less expensive models and they never mention them and, frankly, I don't blame them.I took a chance recently and ordered the CX1 Parquet, along with the TurboTeQ brush. Had never been interested in a bagless canister but thought Miele might have pulled it off with the CX1. Here are my thoughts: the suction is second to none...am blown away; the design is pretty cool; the ease when emptying the bin is wonderful...just be gentle as dust rises when debris hits the trash can; cleaning the bagless compartment is very easy and putting it all back together is a cinch; again, the suction is a.m.a.z.i.n.g; and, my only complaint, the ease at which the canister moves behind you is not very well dialed in...Miele could do better. The reason why I stated that this is a vacuum for aficionados is that you must be committed to cleaning the bagless compartment thoroughly every three or so uses. And I mean, CLEANING...emptying and rinsing and drying. For me, this works well, as I believe in taking care of things that take care of me. I actually enjoy the process. On the other hand, if you are the person who doesn't have the time or desire to clean something that cleans for you, then go straight for a bagged Miele. In the end, I've never been more happy with a vacuum. Hope this insight helps...just remember that the CX1 wants to enjoy a symbiotic relationship with you! ~R

Works great on carpets and hardwood floor. Cable is longer than other wired vacuums I have used in the past and the built is great.Noise is minimal with great suction on max.Definitely recommended for someone looking for a Dyson alternative with better value for money.

I absolutely love that machine it’s easy to pull and does a wonderful job picking up the dogs and cats hair. The parts are easy to put together or to remove. I don’t have much strength in my hands because of arthritis so that’s a big bonus for me. Another big bonus is that it doesn’t require bags so I save a lot of money on that. It’s also not heavy to pull. This is the best vaccum I have ever had and it’s worth the money

The suction on this vacuum is the o my reason I gave it two stars , it advertises it as a vacuum for pets, but the beater bar is AWFUL, not only does it not turn on carpets but if it does the pet hair gets to wound up you have to stop and clean the bar every 5 mins, very disappointed not worth the money.

Bought this for the ability to rapidly removing tiny dust and fragments from my laser cutter after each use. It has decent enough suction but the clear tube that holds the waste has already broken one of the only two notched areas it attaches t the motor with. Also the runtime is somewhere in the 5 minute mark before needing recharging again.
