This is not listen anywhere in their documentation, but the “power out†wire does not need to be used. I did not have a wire going between the two boxes I wanted to use, but did have power to both boxes. Just connected power and paired the Bluetooth and both switches worked perfect. The “air gap†switch will only work on the switch that has the “power out†wire going up to the fan. But both switches work even tho one (or possibly both) have no physical connection to the fan. This makes installation so much more versatile, I wish they would have incudes that in documentation. Could have been an expensive experiment, but turned out great.

Love the fan and being able to use an app to turn it on or off. The remote is slim and easy to use, but a renter damaged it and of course didn’t tell me it happened. Looked online and was pleased to see there was a replacement. Make sure you choose the right one for your unit. Mine is the Bluetooth option. You have to throw the fuse for the fan to be re-set so that the new remote can be paired to it. Besides finding the correct fuse to shut off and back on, that was about it. You’ve got to use the remote within a set amount of time so the devices recognize each other.

I love my Modern Forms fan, and it integrates well with both Alexa and Google Home. But: from time to time, the connection with both Alexa and Google is lost, which requires deleting the Modern Forms skill and then re-installing them, and linking them to your Modern Forms account again. No big deal, really, but sometimes it's too much bother (for instance, if I'm getting ready to go to bed and ask Alexa to turn off the fan light and I get a "I can't connect with Modern Forms" message).The remote and the wall-switch always work, so if I try a voice command and it's not working, I use one of those. For me, the remote is essential because I'm not always near the wall switch. I also find that I get more precise control over the fan speed with the remote and wall switch than using Alexa. For the money, it has definitely been worth it to me. I've had it for 4 months and so far, no problems.

The first remote fell once and the connectors that hold the batteries in place came unglued so it no longer worked. One drop. I tried regluing it but couldn't get it to work. I bought another remote. It arrived with both the connectors already broken. I will buy another remote and hope it arrives intact and then will be forced to handle it like a delicate piece of glass. This remote is far too fragile and there are no other options.

Works great. It's easy to I stall. We were worried it wouldn't fit with the light switches on both sides but it was fine.The only thing I don't like is the delay in the light turning on. And it's doesn't have any indicator of high/low for the fan so you could be on 2, it could be on 6. But that's easily solved in the app, so it's a minor complaint.

The previous owners of our new house left us with a broken remote for the fan in our bedroom. My wife didn't want the app . Most of the time I could just use mine, but after a few times of me being gone or out of town and her calling to have me turn it on or off, we invested in this. Works like a charm.

The remote I received was the wall mount RFI needed a wall mount. The problem was my fan is about 3 years old and needed a blue tooth wall mount . Instead of being called wall mount BT it Is called contemporaryIt didn’t work! Had electrician install it - lost money and time.Good quality- will update when the new BT is installed

Desafortunadamente, el ventilador Axis Indoor and Outdoor 3-Blade Smart Ceiling Fan, para el cual compré el apagador de pared... es incompatible, aunque son de la misma marca, sólo venden el ventilador con el control remoto. El fabricante deberÃa de ofrecer el ventilador + apagador de pared + control remoto.
