Within 6 months all the fluid leaked out of it and it started working I had replaced two front struts and two rear shocks and my steering stabilizer with Monroe.Pretty much in the same time frame one of my front struts also leaked all the fluid out and stopped working.I actually need to go look at my back shocks just to make sure they didn't all basically leak out too but I wouldn't be surprised. When you go to Monroe's website to check how to exercise this 5-year warranty that they come with it says you have to send it back to the original seller which Amazon and all other sellers on Amazon pretty much don't take anything over 30 days which made that impossible.Fortunately I have asurion coverage for $16 a month which pretty much gives me a lifetime warranty on anything for the most part that I purchased through Amazon they were great about immediately giving me a credit for both the strut in the shock. The only thing about that is thanks to inflation the price of these things are constantly going up so even in the last 6 months they went up almost 20 bucksNot sure how well you can see in the picture but it's covered in all the oil that came out of it

My buddy bought an old bucket truck and the shock that keeps the bucket from swinging was shot. We modified this one and it works great.

This is my 2nd one in a few months, they both controlled bump feed back to the steering wheel about as good as the original leaking Ford one with 170,000 km on it. I checked and there seems to be air in both of them that lets the rod move freely in and out about 1/2 inch before any dampening occurs allowing the steering wheel to move back and forth over any bumps, it kind of feels like a mini death wobble over rough roads. The whole front end has been replaced so this is the weak link. Will now be upgrading to Bilstein. This stabilizer shock would be acceptable for light duty trucks on very smooth roads.
