About this item

  • 【Motion Sensor with Wireless Outlet】The ASOFTY Wireless Motion Sensor Kit allows you to make your traditional home appliances smart. You can easily control lights, appliances, and whole scenes like fans and lamps by motion control without relying on WIFI or Bluetooth. The operation is simple and convenient.
  • 【Motion and Light Sensor】In addition to controlling lights, devices, and the entire scene via mobile devices, you can also control brightness. You can define the optimal sensitivity of the motion sensor separately depending on the location, and use a light sensor to make the rules more intelligent. For example, the light will be turned on only when there is not enough daylight.
  • 【Delay Adjustable】Rules can be used to activate automatic devices, such as turning on the bathroom light automatically when you use the toilet at night. You can set the detected duration to prevent the light from staying on unnecessarily long after you leave the room.
  • 【IP54 Waterproof】ASOFTY Motion Sensor Outdoor Indoor Battery is equipped with an IP54 waterproof design and wireless operation function to easily deal with everyday outdoor activities. The sensor is powered by two AA batteries, providing you with a long service life. Please note that the batteries are not included.
  • 【Easy Installation】The ASOFTY motion sensor offers various installation options, including self-adhesive, drilling, and magnetic. Its flexible bracket allows you to adjust the sensor angle as needed and avoid false triggering.

Affordable, easy to set up and works well. Motion sensor is very sensitive and would trigger the alarm as soon as the slightest movement is detected. I attached it to an alarm siren.Update: It was working well like I had mentioned above. As of 1-25-24 it was not working as it should be working. The alarm would go off as soon as it was turned on and wouldn’t stop until the power was turned off. I found one customer had the same problem of alarm going off without any motion detected. Like others said it would work for the lights but not for the alarm definitely.

Mostly worked for a few months, now only as an off/on switch using the button on the back.

Added this for a quick and easy overhead light in a storage area. Love how easy it was to set up and use. Now I always have light when I need to find something in that space. The settings dials are small so I used my phone to enlarge the image.

It's decent, love that it has a magnet onto he mount. Sometimes it does not read accuraatly, but it still a good product

The great thing about this motion detector is that there really aren't many others out there. If you have a driveway light that is far away from where you need to sense motion, or you want more control without hiking up a ladder...there's nothing else, so thankfully there is this model.I messed up the pairing (my fault) so I can confirm that re-paring is super easy and fast. I also tried each setting. There is one for sensitivity, one for time to stay on, and one for how dark it should be to turn on. They all work exactly as in the manual, though not a great design, with three pots you have to guess exactly where they are set. But they are easy enough to test, or pop open the unit later to adjust if needed. The problem is that despite the sensor being close to the plug, having plenty of power, and all settings correct - it's just unreliable. In test mode, where you can constantly wave your have in front of the sensor, the red light blinks showing that the light should go on each time, but it just doesn't. I found that the first time it will work, but repeated attempts shortly thereafter, the receiver simply does not respond to the motion.I went with a hardwired option and it works much better, which is actually a bit of a shame because this unit is otherwise a great idea and quite a nice design.

Installed this in my basement where I have to light switches. I wired up my 3ft led light strips around the room. As soon as I enter the lights turn on. I have them set to five mins, but as long as your still moving around the room the lights stay on.

I needed an outdoor motion sensor/wireless plug setup for my driveway. This was the only viable option I could find, that checked all of the boxes (or, so I thought). First off, the range between the sensor and plug is pretty short. I can’t get it to reliably work, if the sensor is more than 25’ away from the plug. Ok, no problem. I’ll find a way to make that short range work for me…. Upon opening the sensor to install the batteries and adjust the settings, I noticed that there is absolutely no preventative measures taken by the manufacturer to prevent water intrusion. The description states “ip54 rated”, and that it’s suitable for outdoor use. The instructions state that it cannot be used in humid or hot environments…. This is contradictory to the “outdoor use” statement in the description. I have sealed up the sensor as well as possible, so hopefully rain won’t affect it, but there were gaps, cracks, and openings in the housing that wouldn’t stop a single “splash” as described when you research the ip54 designation. The description is extremely misleading, and borderline fraudulent, imo. For the price and quality of construction, I don’t expect this to last long, but I definitely won’t be purchasing another, when this one fails.

UPDATE 01/06/24- I wish I could give this 0 stars. After finally getting so-so reliability with it as described below, it now will turn on the outlet once, never turn it off until I manually turn it off with the outlet button (which I discovered by accident since not in instructions). Then it will not turn on again unless I remove and reinsert batteries, then it will work again ONE time same as before. It does pair auto when replacing batteries (again guessing because bad instructions but outlet led starts solid blue not blinking blue, then it does work one time again). RETURNING IT after MUCH frustration. Will not try another brand of same item because of other bad reviews. It never got wet and batteries are new alkaline...first few days was ok MAYBE, because I didn't know the flaws yet, but now is all bad all the time. sometimes the pir will sense motion well and the led on the front will blink, but frequently it will not sense at all, even up close. Sometimes when it does sense the outlet will turn on, sometimes the pir will sense but outlet will not turn on. The time setting is part of the pir, not the outlet. This means if the pir successfully turned the outlet on, then the pir sends the signal to turn off later, the outlet may not turn off. It may be many hours later before a pir signal successfully turns the outlet on or back off. There are many brands on Amazon selling this exact item, with the same confusing instruction sheet. There is no information about what the different colors of the led on the outlet mean, and it is not clear if removing the batteries is part of the re-pairing procedure or just confusion caused by mixing re-pairing and initial setup info in the same sentence. This brand was the only one that mentioned any water resistance feature for the pir, but when I received it and put the batteries in I did not find any kind of gasket that would make me think it could resist any rain at all.To get semi-reliable performance from this thing I had to mount the pir on the outside of my window (under an awning so it never gets wet) and move the outlet to an extension cord mounted just inside the same window, which looks bad.
