After some research, I bought this for the sole purpose of clearing a CEL and several other dash lights on my 2024 ZX10R after having the ECU flashed. It worked flawlessly when paired with a Tuner Toys euro5 6 pin to OBD adapter cable. Now I have a cheap spare to keep in my truck or throw in my tool cart. Pretty straight forward out of the box, it comes with directions if you are not tech savvy and just buying for quick CEL diag. Information is clear and easy to read on the display.

MOTOPOWER MP69033 Car OBD2 Scanner Code Reader. This code reader help me save money. I was able to read the code and know what it was before getting it to the mechanic. It plugged right in to the reader and gave me the code. I was able to erase the code easily. It gave me the info within seconds of plugging it in. This tool is super functional. My husband said this little box I picked was a great purchase. It gave us codes plus it gave me the issue on screen. This is the EASIEST product to use even if you're not an automotive technician or mechanic. Very durable materials, easy inputs and controller buttons, excellent for everyday use.Don't get distracted by the super-nerdy, factory-trained, snobby, know-it-alls that think you need a $500-dollar device to access your vehicle's information. There's a place for basic layman understanding of your daily driver. Get this instrument just as you might have a flashlight handy.Maybe you want to purchase or sell a car so you wish to verify pending codes, cleared codes, active codes, or what have you. Keep the transactions honest and as RR said "Trust but verify."If you are going to take your car into a shop for diagnostics, or maybe a smog check, or wondering about a check engine light, this instrument is for you. With this device, it takes about 30-90 seconds for you to see inside the vehicle computer. The display gives summary codes and if you need more details, lots of websites online can give you more information about your particular make and model. Probably one of the best values on Amazon.

I plugged this code reader into the OBD2 port on my 1998 Toyota Camry, and it worked immediately. The screen and controls were intuitive and easy to understand for me, a car repair novice, before I even read the manual, which is also easy to follow. I had my code within seconds. The price was good, also, for what I needed. I'm very pleased.As a side note, I had to search online for a while before locating the OBD2 port for my '98 Camry (manufactured for the US market), with some sources saying it was to the right of the fuses located behind the ashtray to the left of the steering column (which is apparently true for some model years but not true for my car) and others saying it didn't exist at all (apparently true in some countries for '98 models). So do verify that you actually have an OBD2 port and locate it before purchasing the reader.The OBD2 port on my '98 Camry, manufactured in the US, is white and is located directly below the steering column, at the edge closest to the driver, very easy to see from the driver's seat when I put my cell phone camera under there (a mirror would work just as well - no kneeling necessary). Once I knew where it was, I could reach it easily and plug in the code reader without leaving the driver's seat.

This is a handy DIY device to have in your car toolkit. OK, it's not a comprehensive nor a professional tool - but it does a very adequate job for most home mechanics.I have tested it on my own Ford Focus and it seems to work as expected. Next, I need to look at my sister's Hyundai where she has an "exhaust" warning light. I am assuming it's a lambda sensor issue - but we will see what this tool tells us about it!The device not only deciphers fault codes, it can also clear then as necessary. No batteries are required as it uses the car as its power source.Read the manual before going too far!At ~£20, it can save you a lot of money as local garages charge a fortune just to run a diagnostic.....As I said, this device is very reasonably priced and comes with rapid next day Prime delivery.
