All components that make up the antenna are very good quality. No parts were missing. The antenna is sturdy and tuned easily for low SWR. I recommend this brand and this magnetic mounted antenna.

This is NOT a gain antenna. Never expected it to be. It's mediocre. A decent unity-gain antenna would be MUCH longer. Instead, it's a solid upgrade from the rubber duck antenna on my handheld CB radio. I've not taken an antenna analyzer to it, yet, but it has gotten me improved reports on radio checks and improved reception. Sticks on top of my truck without flying off when travelling at 70 MPH or faster.

I received my new antenna right on the predicted schedule and I hooked it up immediately. I put my SWR meter on it and got a 1.25/ 1 reading . Certainly no need for adjustments! I put the antenna on my truck and on my first outing on rough roads, I lost the whip on the new antenna. I had failed to secure the set screw because things were going so well. Can I purchase a replacement whip for this product? My fault!

This antenna had good reviews however it turned out to be cheap junk. I mounted the magnetic base on the roof of my new truck and within three months the base started to rust and the internal components. There was a rust ring etched into my paint which caused permanent damage. The rubber base was worn around the edges making the metal touch the vehicle. This antenna can't stand up to external conditions and is not properly designed to be left outside the vehicle. I rate this Nagoya mag mount as (-0) and don't even want a replacement.

Great range for a budget antenna and has a strong magnet that doesn’t budge! But build quality was lacking. The rubber around the bottom was coming apart upon arrival and it scratched my paint after having it attached for a few days. It also had an odd dent in part of it (see photo). Overall, I feel like this antenna could do better for the price but the actual performance is very usable for my needs. I will be covering the bottom with a more sturdy material going forward.

The magnet mount is sturdy. The reception is quite well. You can transmit on the ham bands but there is no way to adjust SWR.
