While you take off the filter cover without turning off the power, the device was stoped work to enter the safety protection mode.
After replaced the filter and put the filter cover back in place, it will back to work.

Do not purchase this if you are a working nail taking youรขโฌโขre going to be using your fan on a daily basis the day before I was going to purchase filters it stopped working! Total waste of money.

It's been a little over a year since I have began my artistic nail journey, and as such I have been able to try products of all kinds so I have quite a bit of experience when it comes to quality and expectations on a personal standard.I have used extremely nice quality items down to low tier items, and this one in particular sits on the middle to lower tier when it comes to ranking for me personally.The reason for my middle to low tier rating is because while the parts and materials are a very nice quality, the suction power leaves a lot to be desired for me. I have had extremely low quality dust collectors that had a lot more suction and were easier to clean than this one. Which is a bit surprising because this one seems decently high tech, with good material.Overall, it's definitely not a bad dust collector for the price point, I just have a little bit higher expectations when the parts and material are as nice as this one is. It just doesn't have the suction power as some of the others I've tried, but that would simply not deter me from recommending this to someone else. I just have a bit of experience and know what to look for. This is a great starting dust collector for anyone. If you do work at a salon, it just may not have the suction power compared to other brands.All in all I'm pleased with this product and would not hesitate to suggest it if someone is on a lower budget and might want to have a nicer quality dust collector.
