Works exactly as described. That said, it comes rolled and it’s quite difficult to get it to lay completely flat. This took some time. It’s also smaller than is ideal (but, consistent with the description). It covers the base of the chair but there’s not a lot of room to move around and stay on the mat.

Newly refurbished floor, I wanted to really protect them this time. This item is doing the job, but you barely see it. Arrived rolled up and stiff in freezing weather, took a few days to warm up, laid it out with some books at each corner, it flattened out perfectly and is now unobtrusively protecting the floor. I've bought two more of their carpet protectors since.

As expected the mat arrived rolled-up. I unrolled it, put it in a heated area with weights around the edges. In two days it was flat and useable. My biggest complaint is the surface of the mat is NOT completely flat, it is a series of shallow "rolls" or small waves. This condition results in some resistance when you move a wheeled chair over the surface. I do not think it will ever go completely flat so a chair easily rolls over it.The mat seems well made, it is transparent and does not smell like some vinyls do, and holds well on low pile carpet.,

I should have known anything flexible enough to be rolled up in a 4x4" box was never going to hold a chair with a human in it! I unrolled it -sort of - it was all humplily bumpily - and left it with the chair on it for the weekend, when I got back in on Monday is was still humpily bumpily with Wheel dents. Way too soft, could not roll on it without it getting stuck in the mat or by one of the humps. Not a good choice. Returned.

I'm not sure my 4 star review is fair. However, this mat is much thinner than my previous mat (different manufacturer). The description DOES include the thickness, so I take responsibility for missing that and not comparing to the mat I just replaced. The mat came rolled up in a box, my previous mat, I'm almost certain, did not come rolled up in a box (it's too thick). The description indicates this mat is good for a low nap carpet. I work out of a home office. My carpet isn't as low as you might find in an average commercial setting, but it's not a thick pile/high nap either. I also have a pad under my carpet. This mat would probably work much better in an average, low-nap, no/minimal pad commercial setting, not so good for a home office. The casters make a relatively significant indentation in the mat. To summarize, this is better suited for a low nap, no/minimal pad carpet. After using this mat for a couple of weeks, I'm changing my review from 4 stars to 3 and returning the mat. As commented above, this may work well for a VERY low carpet with little/no pad. It's not working very well me. My chair depresses into the mat so much, it's difficult to roll out. Also, the mat has not yet flattened. The temps in my house have been enough above the indicated temperature range to allow the mat to flatten (my AC was out a few days). I even placed iron weight plates on the mat to no avail. I'm opting for a tempered glass mat instead.

I have carpet in my office and I don’t want to ruin it, so I got oversized carpet wheels for my office chair, however, they still seem to wear down the carpet pretty quick. So I bought this Floor mat and was pleased with its size as I can lay it down, diagonally and slide between my two desks without a problem.Helpful hint, though; when you first receive it, it comes rolled up and is very stiff. This wouldn’t be a great big deal except for the fact that the little claws underneath our pretty sharp and actually cut me when I was trying to unroll it (it fought back, lol). I recommend using a blow dryer with a heat setting to make it more pliable. A couple seconds with that hairdryer will make the experience much more pleasant.Cheers!

Ran it under hot water in the bathtub and it flattened out after a day, good quality for the price.

I hate to write this review but this Matt was horrible quality. It was tinted almost yellowish and would not flatten out like my other Matt’s and looks actually so bad… I bought three of them and I’m returning them all. Nothing like the quality one I received from Home Depot. Disappointed.

I have several carpet pads now bought over the last few years. What is such a frustration is that none are alike in construction or colour even though marketed as clear. Clearly clear doesn’t mean the same to different companies. This one is just the latest in that way. It is thinner than my others. It arrived rolled up and despite several days with heavy weights spread across it it refuses to lie completely flat. INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING! Why can’t this product be delivered in a flat box? I gave it a 3 for durability but time will tell whether that’s appropriate.

Perfect size for what I need. This photo is about 18 hours after unrolling from the box. Still has some waves in it from being rolled up but am hoping those will flatten out over time.
