I purchased this unit when I learned how expensive a 2 day rental of an auger from the local rental place was going to be, for an extra $10 I bought this beauty. I needed 9 holes drilled for an ATV bridge I was installing, and this worked great. It easily made it's way through hard packed soil and clay, occasionally it would get stuck on rocks but that was to be expected. Using the 8 inch auger, it quickly got to a depth of 18 inches. Pros: Easy to start, usually no more that 3 pulls, lightweight with decent construction, 3 bit sizes. Cons: The handles could be wider to give more leverage, when this baby finds a rock and kicks back... I've got the bruise to prove it. Overall, I highly recommend this auger, price, ease of use and enough grunt to get the job done.

This was a really good purchase. I had to dig a 35' ditch 3' deep for a drywell. I am 67 years old and I still drilled and dug this ditch in about 8 hours by drilling a hole every foot to loosen up the soil. I had to buy an extension to get 3' deep, but I am really pleased with it. I build fences as part of my handyman business and the post holes will be much easier and faster in the future.

Honestly this thing works great only main downside is the exhaust points right at you they need to change where the throttle is.

Used to dig post holes on my property ,easy to operate, noticed it starts with just one pull (my chainsaw was not ) only problem was it did not come with the 6†auger like the ad said . seems to be pretty good quality.

it's better than I expected. This little sucker drills a hole just fine. I expected it to not work in western North Carolina but it does. I drilled my first hole up next to a tree and was expecting to hit roots and it would stall out but it didn't The first foot was a bit of a struggle but once through that it went right down the whole auger length. Also it started right up on the second pull. I never even had to make a carburetor adjustment. Very pleased. Now I'll see how long it lasts.

Product is cheap and knew quality would be as well. But if I could get a few uses..all good. Well it lasted way less than expected. Looks nice out of the box. Lighter than the Honda one I’ve used. Added fuel and started right up. But, yesterday it took a few tries to get started and Dug 2 holes. About 8†deep as the ground was just too hard. 30 mins later I went to start it and nothing. Plenty of fuel but nothing. Sadly it looks brand new as I’ve dug only 5 holes so far with it and I take care of my tools. Next I’ll have to see if the plug fouled up. So for the price vs usage..I would say don’t buy. Just go and rent one or buy a better quality one. If I would have rated this a month ago, I would have given it 5 stars…. to prematurely though.

Everything worked as expected. Started up in 2-3 pulls. Plenty of power. The only hiccup was the air filter cover came off about half way through the job. It went right back on but I will have to find a fix for this issue.

Has lots of power but you will need something to grab onto it with four arms do not work when you have rocky soil
