I can"t believe I just discovered these! All the years I've been gardening I sure could have used these. Really nice quality and great sizes for me. Perfect for planting bulbs and smaller plants without digging a huge hole. If used properly they will fluff up the soil making it easy for the plants to root. Just make sure you dab into the dirt rather than trying to drill a hole strait down. You might twist your arm off if using the big one. Lol. It won't cut thru roots or dig up rocks of course, but I've had good luck with even hard soil. The gloves are great too! I highly recommend for any home gardener.

Auger works great. Makes short work of planting bulbs. Will cut through some minor roots. I could see where a more basic drill may overheat using this tho so be careful.

The smaller auger 1.6x1.6 works perfectly with 1.5x1.5 little cups of grass planted in bare spots. Just drill deep enough ,set the grass in the hole then step on it. When all the grass is planted you should water the yard. I planted 50 little plants in 1 hour. It’s growing great. Great product for grass and gardening

So, this thing will dig a hole for you, however the drill bit attach part should have corners on it, and not just be round, to help the drill bite it a little bit. Metal also feels like it will bend if it hits rocks.
