I have a Samsung OLED (90C) that does actually have an analog audio output (3.5mm) but it is very noisy, producing lots of squelching from EM interference. This tv also has optical audio output and can even use USB DACs. I had settled on using a Schiit DAC to send audio from the TV to my soundbar, but periodically the tv wouldn't detect the DAC and would then switch back to internal speakers, which was frustrating. Other times, it would send a horrifying, loud screech to the DAC which was then passed to the soundbar. I couldn't use the optical output for my soundbar because that was going to my Sennheiser wireless tv headphones (TR185, which are awesome). However, optical still seemed to be the best output option on this tv in terms of reliability and signal quality. I guess there's also eARC, which in my experience is endlessly flaky, and I needed all my HDMI ports for other things.All of that is to say, this little box solved my issues. I power it from the usb port on the TV, and it splits the tv's optical output to the Sennhesier headphones and my soundbar. I can use both simultaneously if I want, sound quality is great, and everything stays in sync. Of course, this box won't help anyone wanting HDMI audio for Atmos or other cutting edge surround formats, but I'm limited to stereo through the headphones or soundbar, which I use for space-saving reasons, so in my case it's perfect. I tuck it back behind a shelf and its out of sight, out of mind. My only gripe is that it has no visible indicator that it's working; no LED or anything. But if you are getting sound, that means it's working. We'll see if it is made to last!

Very nice optical splitter for the price. Easy to set up and works like it should. Just wish the power cord was a bit longer and included an A/C adapter.

Comes with a power cord (USB A) and an optical cord. Both are short. Does not come with a transformer so you either have to provide a transformer or use a USB outlet on a TV or other appliance. Works fine.

This little thing worked perfectly, My dad wanted two sources out from his TV and his TV only had optical out so I got this and it worked perfectly.

I got this to power the TV sound bar as well as the Bluetooth transmitter that feeds our hearing aids. Before this, it was an either or choice. Now I can power both up as well as being able to have them both active. Now guests can hear the sound along with us old phartz with hearing aids.It was super simple connecting it up.

Needed to hook up my hearing aid Bluetooth device as well as a soundbar for our TV. The device works very well and have no complaints. Only issue was the power cord they sent with it. The cord had a new C connection, but the device took the old smaller connection. Luckily I had an old one I was able to use.

You get what you pay! I needed a TOSLINK splitter which would amplify the signal as a passive splitter didn't work for me. This one had good reviews and offered the best price.Received it yesterday and faced the following issues -1) The micro USB port on splitter and the supplied USB cable for power, both were faulty. The USB connector wouldn't go in without applying pressure. And of course, the box doesn't contain a USB charger adapter! So I used a charger I had but the thing wouldn't power on. Changed the cable and gently inserted the connector and finally it came on2) Once powered on, I inserted the optical audio cable (which had a red light) into the input but there was no output signal on any of the 3 output ports!. Powered on/off, removed/reinserted the cables, and tried everything that I could think of, but no luck. This thing didn't work.So maybe I got a lemon and YMMV, but the quality of this thing was certainly lacking and hence it is going right back! I will look for another brand.

It was so easy to set up. I previously used the headphones socket for my hearing aids, which was ok but a slight delay. I used this splitter between my hearing aids and our Sonos sound bar, no delays and perfect sound, it could not be better. This was all down to talking to the tech guy at John Lewis in Cambridge.
