Purchase this item because I’ve always wanted a metal detector, but without the complications of a metal detector. Got this in the mail. It snapped together quickly. It has a rechargeable battery and it works. I can even adjust the size down so the green girls can go treasure hunting with me.No bells in whistles just an inexpensive way to try a new hobby.

Even though this is marketed for children, I must admit I have used it myself at the beach. While I haven't found anything interesting so far, it is fun to use. It is made like a children's toy, which is to say the build quality is thin plastic. It is easy to set up and very simple to use.

Well, I have used it and found out that it indeed does work. Actually it seems like it might be a little too sensitive but still it does work.Nice to be able to slide it together to get a size suitable for a child. But with it all the way out it is just right for me as an adult to use it.Maybe I'll get an adult one later as I'm looking at a dog with a bunch of basketballs around it depending how close to the treasure you are at.The closer to the treasure the more the beeping will sound plus you see more basketballs around the dog. Cute for kids!So I do endorse this product, no real adjustment but so far it is working just as you would want it to!

As a homeschool family we are always looking for fun and different ways to engage with our kids and teach them. This metal detector definitely helps do that in a way that has kept their attention. The metal detector was easy to put together and it charged up pretty quick. Once charged we were able to test it out in the backyard and found an old can that was probably from the 50's. Once they had that experience they wanted to keep going and explore different places with it. The detector itself is pretty sensitive and has a simple to read display that allows kids to be independant while the explore.

This little thing seems to work pretty well. As others have mentioned, assembly can be a little difficult, as you have to somehow stretch the coiled cord long enough to reach the other side of the tube to connect it. I was able to tie a string onto a small screwdriver and tie that to the end of the cord and pull it through the tube and get it connected. The kids are having fun with it in the yard, so it was worth the effort, but be aware that assembly isn't as straightforward as it could be.

This will be perfect to use with my granddaughter. They live several hours away, but are coming to visit in a month. I'll add pictures after we scan our yard.
