This is ok, unless you have a need for 2†springs. They do not make the small clasp for the 2†springs. Which after assembly I found out. Had to go with a different setup. So this became a large paperweight.

I had high hopes for this product. This compressor, at least in my experience, compresses the spring with much more force on the inside. Unless both sides of the spring are compressed uniformly, it is quite dangerous and difficult to get the shock into as the entire spring bends. The addition of a manual spring compressor for the other side would’ve been helpful. I ended up using a ratchet strap. I like the addition of the security chain which prevents the spring from an unintended launch. I think with better fitting spring receivers, this could be a solid product.

Strut compressor seems very well built for this orice point.Have done the struts on one of my cars with it and it performed fantasticly. Much safer than a lot of tools out there for this job. Stand needs to be assembled before use and the included instructions are laughably incomplete, missing so many steps. But if you're mechanically inclined enough that you're tackling rebuilding McPherson struts, then setting this up won't be a problem. Money well spent and very happy with this tool.

Not a 90 degree on this tool , wondered if welds would hold . Was working against itself while compressing . Although it worked on 2 white 3 blue stripped Mercedes hd front strut springs .
