This is a brand new 0.3X Barlow lens for stereo industrial microscopes with 48mm threading. It reduces magnification by 0.7X (0.3X original magnification), and increases the working distance to a maximum of 287mm (11.3in). The mounting thread is 1-7/8" (48mm). Due to the large working-distance, this Barlow lens is only intended for microscopes which support appropriate height-adjustment.

lower internal thread used to mount on the ring light mounting adapter is way off tolerance,. Too wide open, lamp just falls off no matter what. The upper thread is on the other hand properly made and fits nicely.

I have a 50-year-old stereo microscope from Wild Heerbrug and I wasn’t sure how well this would work. I had to machine a little threaded adapter but once that was done it works well.
