replaced old seal which was leaking, cleaned off the sealing area use the lube recommended for installation, tightened up the seal ring and turned on the pump. /No more leak!

This was a perfect fit for Pentair smbw 4000 series DE filter. It was snug and required a little bit of pressure for the top of the lid to be seated in place - I did use the lube. The filter is no longer leaking! This is certainly value for money, however, I am not sure if it is OEM part - product listing made me think I am getting OEM part.. See the picture of the packaging and decide for yourself.

Arrived well packaged in excellent condition. O-Ring in our DE filter was approaching the end of life and these are perfect replacements at a reasonable price. Will definitely order more as needed.

Bought this for my Purex (Pentair) DE filter but it was way too big. Would have been helpful to include the actual diameter

Installed without silicone lube and it leaks. I read per the Manual that the pentair 4000 de filters didn’t need it. When I remove it again I’ll lube it up and see it it still leaks.

Finally no more water leaking or air leak, I understand this gasket was originally for the stainless steel filters, Pentair should post that this is also compatible with fiberglass filter housings.
