- Ensure the subject thickness up to 19mm.
- You are not recommended to make test on thin drywall directly

Special Notes in the Use of Pinless Moistue Meter

This product is unusually packaged and presented. Has a nice rubberized grip, is compact and yet easy to see and use - very straight forward functions, especially the hold feature if you have to kind of reach and twist to get to the surface you're measuring. I compared its readings to both an Orion 940 and Extech MO290 available for comparison, both at more than 20x the price - and all three devices were within 1-1.5% of each other for most readings. This one was a bit higher on masonry (~2-3%) but they're really relative anyway. Perhaps a longer-term life is the difference between this one and the others, or pro vs homeowner - we'll see, but for my use (homeowner) and its price point - a steal of a deal...

This product saved us. We had a air hose leak in our 125 gallon aquarium. After we cleaned up the water, I was concerned about the structure of the stand. I ordered this moisture meter and it arrived overnight. I tested it on multiple areas in our home ti ensure it's accuracy. Then I tested the aquarium stand and it read 67%. It showed red and began beeping. We emptied the tank, flipped the stand over, and found it was already splitting. Could have been so bad.This meter is was ready to go with a working battery, was easy to use, gave quick results, and is worth every penny.

Ordered this after unfortunate water leak to house after weather event. I wanted an affordable pinless model like the pros use to check moisture content in drywall and hardwoods. This one came with battery and was very intuitive to use, where you switch settings per material. I used it to check progress when my own GC forgot his and then when 3 different restoration specialists came to assess, their readings were basically the same. Have to say I'm impressed. Not sure it's the same quality but for emergency or home use, it seems great.

I've found this to be reliable. I don't have anything to compare it with but seemed for the price it works consistently - when I say consistently I mean the same piece of wood will register same moisture content and will dry out at an expected rate over time.Great to take along when purchasing wood so thay you know how ready to use it is. It does have a small pleather varying case. Not really protective but nice to have.

This wood wet tester is really helpful! it's easy to use and seems to be accurate.display is easy to read and navigate and gives fast readings. You can use it for masonry too, I haven't used that setting much tho.Great tool for any woodworker!

The unit was delivered on time and the packaging is fine. The 9v battery was dead upon arrival and the unit was likely used. The back clearly showed signs of use.That said, with a new battery, the unit worked just fine. The moisture readings provided were within the expected range of the boards. The display was easy to read and the rubber side grips made it easy to use correctly.The unit is fine, but I might seek a different seller to assure it is new and unused.

Like that it came in with a battery and a small protective pouch.I tried it on various pine furniture in the house that was acclimatised, and they all read very close to each other in moisture (about 2% variation, 11-13%), so the reading for softwoods seems quite reasonable). Walls were checked in a few rooms with the drywall setting and also very similar, so consistency seems quite reasonable.
