We do wood sawing and need to know what our wood mositure percentage is at. I purchased this product to do testing and it seems to be prety acurate and it was easy to use. I would purchase again. No probems with it yet.

I bought this because the ad said 100 wood types. Has an A through D for various types of wood, but only 27 are listed total and about 4 to 10 woods for each setting, so you have to guess which setting your wood follows. There is no indication of what categories are what. For example the C setting has fir and maple a soft wood and a hardwood? It makes it almost impossible to measure a wood not listed, like madrone.

[not accurate, wood that reads 15-16 percent on my other meters is reading 20-22% on this meter. They didn't list the modes on this unit which is stupid. Thanks again China. Another waste of materials and efforts]

Why on earth is there a mode button for generalized wood species groups?!?! Is the device measuring moisture content or using fuzzy logic compensation for wood density? Regardless, you'll get four different measurement readings depending on the mode button selection... So, which is correct?!?!? Returning the device for refund... and buying something else without a BS button

Ho comperato questo igrometro per poter valutare meglio quanta acqua contiene la legna da ardere che mi accingo ad acquistare.Ho fatto qualche prova basandomi sul fatto che una misurazione al centro del ceppo nel punto più umido magari sotto la corteccia sia la più attendibile. Lo strumento funziona bene ma, per avere dei valori abbastanza reali ho dovuto praticare con un trapano dei fori dove poi introdurre i sensori allo scopo di effettuate una misurazione il più possibile all‘interno del legno, cosa che si può fare comodamente a casa. Diventa però macchinosa quando si vuol capire quanta legna e quanta acqua si pagano 🙄

Das Geraet macht einen wertigen Eindruck. Die Skaleneinteilung (Holzarten) von A bis D ist superklein gedruckt und kann nur mit einer Lupe gelesen werden.
