I originally calibrated my refractometer with ro/di water. Kept test my saltwater aquarium I thought salinity was high at 1.031 so I was in the process of doing small water changes daily with just water no salt to drop it gradually. I ended buying this just to verify that it wasn’t the refactometer not being calibrated correctly sure enough it was off by .006 so salinity was always at 1.025 even double checked at lfs after it calibrated and mine and there’s now read the same. This is a must when calibrating your refactometer highly recommend

This product is garbage and completely inaccurate. I used this to calibrate my aquarium refractometer only to find out it's way way off and not the advertised 1.026. When calibrating, my refractometer needed to be adjusted significantly which should been a red flag. After getting water back into parameters after the recalibration, I took a sample of my aquarium water to 2 different local aquarium shops only to find out my salinity is now 1.030. After recalibrating with solution provided by the local shop, the solution i purchased is actually 1.032. Do not trust this product!

The bottle I recieved was way out of spec at 1.036 ...this product cost me hundreds of dollars in fish and corals...DO NOT TRUST THIS PRODUCT
