I regularly use different size pipe cutters and always debur when finished. So the burs remaining following cut is not relevant to me. This cutter is quite large and heavy, so although it cuts a wide range of sizes, I only use it for those I can't cut with my lighter, smaller ones. It was delivered quickly. I have been invited to participate in the Amazon Vine program and it is my responsibility to offer an unbiased opinion. I hope you found this review helpful.

Haven’t tried it with any pipe other than stainless steel fence tubing. Not very effective with it. Had to resort to a hack saw. …seems well built and durable.

This tool is a great deal. It’s quality and worked well on a small project I had recently. It was easy to use and required minimal elbow grease to complete what I needed to do. I’m glad that I have it and I know I will use it again.

It won't be winning any beauty contests, but this tool will get through pipes that your average pipe cutter wouldn't come anywhere near. I own several pipe cutters for copper pipe and they work great for that, but I recently had to cut, bend and thread some rigid metal conduit and that stuff is no joke. This managed to get through it. It wasn't the easiest thing to get through, but certainly doable. That long screw with the big handle is the key to getting the cutting wheel to seriously bite into that thick pipe. It doesn't leave the nicest edge, but it sure beats a hacksaw. In terms of build quality, I'd say this is a lower-end tool. Not cheap garbage, but pros probably wouldn't touch it with a 2-foot pipe wrench. Then again, I'm not a pro and I don't cut thick pipes all day every day, so it's fine for me.

This is the biggest and strongest pipe cutter I have ever used. It is built well and ready to tackle bigger pipes than a traditional plumber’s pipe cutter. Those pipe cutters that are pretty much limited to copper pipes, 1 inch and under, and they do a very good job. This pipe cutter works the same way and does the same very good job, but it is able to cut pipes as large as 2†in diameter. Plus, in addition to copper pipes it works on iron pipes and galvanized pipes. The “T†style handle gives good leverage for tightening the blade down. It is comfortable and easy to control. This configuration makes it a powerful tool. The product listing details need to be corrected though. It describes thread cutting tools and not a pipe cutter. I am very satisfied with this pipe cutter and believe it is a good value.

I love Ridgid tools, but I don’t love Ridgid prices. Having said that, I still believe you get what you pay for. In the case of this pipe cutter you get just that. For a home owner such as myself that may only cut a few larger diameter pipes a year, this tool works. So let’s take a look at what’s good and bad about this product.(The good)Well, to start off with it works, and ultimately that’s what it comes down to. Like I said, for someone that is seldom going to use this pipe cutter it will perform the function for which it was designed for.(The not so good)Break out your files, because there are a few sharp edges that are going to need to be dressed up, otherwise you may cut yourself. The paint job isn’t very well applied, as there were areas that had little to no paint on them. Not a really a deal breaker as it’s going to get worn down with use anyway. Yet straight out of the box it shouldn’t look like this. The guide wheels (rollers) should spin freely, yet I had to punch one of mine out as it didn’t spin at all. After reinstalling the pin, it now works. The two guide wheels should be centered on the pipe cutting wheel (See photo) mine was not. There is no fix for this problem and to date does not seem to have affected its cutting ability. This product comes with two spare cutting wheels. For myself I may never need them, but they are nice to have. As far as their ability to hold an edge goes I can’t comment on it, as I've only used it a few times to test the product out. I also don’t know if the cutting wheels are compatible with other manufacturers.(Conclusion)So, would I recommend this product for you? Well that all depends on how often you're going to use it and what you're going to be cutting. If you're going to be using it in a professional manner as a pipefitter then I would say no. If you only want to cut a few pipes a year, then sure why not. $30 versus $190 (?)

This is a heavy duty cutter, a little heavier than necessary but it is easy to use. I would get this again but I'm also not going to get rid of my lighter ones and keep this one for the heavy duty jobs.

Tool received was not the tool advertised by the seller. The tool advertised was an NPT Pipe threader. The tool received was a 2 inch Pipe Cutter and a low-quality Pipe Cutter to boot. You can see the Chinese low quality just by looking at the tool. The rollers are rough to turn and the threads on the adjustment handle are very loose and pitted. The tool comes with two extra blades. That to me says a lot. I have another 2" Pipe cutter that is 40 years old, and it still has the original blade which is still sharp. It's hard to dull a carbon steel blade cutting brass and copper pipe. Over and above the wrong tool being received. This is a low-quality tool. Granted it will work and do the job of cutting pipe up to 2 inches in diameter. If you're only going to use it once or twice a year. This is a good buy. But if you need a quality tool for everyday use. Look at a higher quality tool. I can only recommend this tool for limited use.
