New work computer only had two video outputs where the old one had three. Order this and it worked like a charm! Plugged into the Win11 system, let the system set it up, plugged in the monitor and just that quick i had a third monitor once again. No issues with the apps being on the third monitor. Quite happy with this purchase

I bought this product recently, as well as 4 other different pieces of gear well over a year ago, for hooking up our studio office. Every single other piece of gear (USB to VGA) and USB 3.0 7 way splitters all work Awesome! I bought this device for situations where older gear may come into use and put it on the shelf till that time. Yesterday I pulled it out to use just to hook up another screen as I knew it could do that, and well.. it has continual intermittent shut off and turn on issues. When it's off, if I wiggle it it will turn back on again and blue light goes back on. But it is wreaking havoc with my graphics card blinking everything off and on cycling like that. As so far I have LOVED PLUGGABLE STUFF, and would prefer to continue using ALL Pluggable product and promoting it, as I understand sometimes electronics just don't work out of the box.Is there anyway I could get a replacement?Three stars just for this product, as the Pluggable makes GREAT products, I LOVE the EASE in which they install and how easy they configure. Also the video is not noticeable as being non-native to the PC! Amazing in this regard.Will change ratting after I hear back from my FIRST EVER claim report to Pluggable, but I have heard good things :)Thank you.I got a reply within the hour! WOW! Everything is working perfectly, as it should, and as ALWAYS ALL of the Pluggable products I have had INSTALL and Work GREAT!!So the moral of the story is, no company produces 100% zero failure rate product, BUT few companies are easy to deal with when honoring these defects to the consumer. Pluggable in my book gets 5 stars for quality of easy working products, as well as 5 stars for going ABOVE and Beyond measure to get me a working product again, EVEN IN ANOTHER COUNTRY!!BUY WITH CONFIDENCE! Update (04/19/2013): Plugable Technologies Inc is about the most responsive and caring electronics company on this planet ... I'd sware that they either must all be on drugs or filled with the Holy Spirit! ... (maybe a mixture of both). The support team immediately responded to my situation and remedied the UGA-3000 connector problems. They sent me out (2nd day delivery) a new UGA-3000 Adapter with tightly fitting connectors. All of the connections are fully secure now and I no longer have a concern about them falling apart (the original unit, previously reviewed must have been errantly boxed with wrong connectors). Anyways, within 15 minutes after receiving the new adapter and connectors, I was operating with an additional monitor in its native screen resolution. And, what is nice about the UGA-3000 adapter is that it comes with the ability to choose between one-of-three types of monitors: either VGA, DVI or HDMI from either a 2.0 or 3.0 USB computer port. This really served my purpose because the two outputs from my computer (VGA and HDMI) were already used in driving two monitors. However, I had a third monitor that I needed to connect to and my computer didn't have another VGA output connection but did have free usb ports. So, that is where the UGA-3000 came in to play. Do not hesitate to purchase this item ... it is AWESOME. I also believe that the team at Plugable Technologies has rectified the source of the problem that I experienced. AWESOME people lead to AWESOME results! Due to the great personnel and support at Plugable Technologies, I am planning to follow up in the purchase of another PLUGABLE device (the Plugable UD-3000 Docking Station) after I can save up enough for it (I was laid off in February due to a program cut at my company). Previous Review follows (Now history):This particular Plugable product's adapter connectors were horrible. All the cable and connectors are provided to adapt to either VGA, DVI, or HDMI. However, none of them fit right. First off, the 3.0/2.0 cable that connects from the computer to the UGA-3000 device is a very loose fit. The slightest movement of the cable will disconnect it. I needed this adapter to connect into either a VGA or HDMI input to my external monitor. Again, these adapters which connect to the other end of the UGA-3000 device are also very loose fitting and when you make the connection on one end of the UGA-3000, the other end falls off. If you do make both connections, do not breathe on it or it will come apart. Really hokey and not plugable at all. It was like Plugable threw in the adapters which really belong to one of their other product line devices but really don't belong with this one. The only way one could probably permanently secure the usb cable connection and adapter's connection would be to glue them on to the UGA-3000 device which defeats its intended purpose of being a multi-versatile pluggable device. Lastly, when attempting to see if it would work, it didn't. So, I gave up on it and returned it. It may be that other Plugable devices connect well but this device does not; it is terrible ... and believe me I am not exaggerating in the least!

Avevo provato prodotti simili di costo inferiore ma questo è l'unico che fa davvero il suo dovere.Chiaramente costa di più delle cinesate da 10euro ma funzione bene.Basta scaricare il driver dal sito ed installarlo, poi attacchi il cavo e il resto lo fa da solo. Windows lo riconosce perfettamente come se fosse una porta nativa della scheda video. Non ho fatto test di prestazioni spinte perché io lo uso per lavoro ma posso dire che le prestazioni per i non giocatori sono ottime!Unico difetto che ho incontrato è stata la connessione vga: se il monitor ha l'ingresso digitale dvi consiglio di usare quello perché la doppia conversione digitale analogico mi ha alterato i colori e vedevo tutto magenta. Cambiato il cavo ha funzionato subito.

Ich habe mir den Adapter besorgt, um einen weiteren Monitor an meinem Rechner anzuschließen, da meine Grafikkarte nur einen einzigen DVI Ausgang hat (Mining-Karte die zum Normalgebrauch genutzt wird) und ich die Displays erweitern wollte - mit einem normalen Splitter wäre nur duplizieren möglich gewesen.Das Gerät ist unter Windows 10 plug and play. Man steckt es ein, wartet kurz bis Windows den Treiber installiert, steckt den Monitor an und es funktioniert einwandfrei.Ich bemerke im Betrieb ab und an leichte Eingabeverzögerungen, also wenn ich die Maus auf dem Monitor der am Adapter steckt bewege, hat der Zeiger manchmal (insbesondere wenn die normale Grafikkarte beschäftigt scheint) eine kurze Verzögerung. Das ist allerdings nicht immer der Fall und stört mich auch im Normalbetrieb nicht, da auf dem Monitor der mit dieser Karte läuft sowieso keine Anwendungen laufen, bei denen das relevant wäre.Mit anderen Worten erfüllt das Gerät seinen Zweck einwandfrei wenn man sich den Limitationen bekannt ist. Gaming sollte man damit jedenfalls nicht betreiben, dafür sollte der Monitor direkt an eine Grafikkarte bzw. an den PC angeschlossen werden. Für jeden, der allerdings einen weiteren Monitor anschließen möchte und die Grafikkarte das entweder nicht unterstützt oder bereits alle Slots aufgebraucht sind, kann durchaus auf diesen Adapter zurückgreifen.

After trying two other USB/VGA adapters from different manufacturers, I was giving up hope that I would be successful in hooking up my second monitor. The previous (and more expensive) adapters were terrible and I returned them. This adapter was delivered next day and I immediately downloaded the latest drivers, unboxed the adapter and plugged it in - IT WORKED FIRST TIME!I was ecstatic after trying for a few days to make the other ones work. Don't waste your time on those other devices - buy this one! It comes with a DVI, a VGA and an HDMI connector for whatever monitor type you wish to connect.This is a great little product, the website is informative and most of all, it works like a charm. I highly recommend this adapter if you want to add another monitor to your laptop, or desktop but don't have any extra video ports - this fixes the situation out of the box.
