I bought this because I was preparing to build bunk beds for my kids and while I have made things in the past, those builds were more utilitarian than anything else and the framing was not the prettiest.Out of the box this jig looks and feels nice. The metal feels sturdy and is nice and smooth. It comes with a nice bit to drill your holes and screw, as well as plastic plugs. I tested drilling on a spare piece of wood. One of the drill bushings was too tight. I was able to get the drill to go in but it got stuck and putting it in reverse had the bushing come out.I went in and out with my drill a few times and it seemed to do the trick. I will definitely have to secure this on a board like in other reviews as not having it secure resulted in the jig whipping around when I let my grip loosen.After I had the jig held down I made a pocket hole and it was alright. The screws that came with the jig fit perfectly but I couldn’t figure out how to get the plugs to stay. Overall this is a great starter and I look forward to trying it out to make a nicer appearing build.

After much checking, I bought this kit. It arrived within 48 hours and was well-packed with no physical or shipping issues. I have dry-fit the components and everything fits as-designed. The attention to detail is apparent on this particular tool. If I will be putting it into service next week for a table top project. If it has problems, I’ll let you know. Otherwise it really looks nice and fits together well.

I used this pocket hole jig to build my first screen door for a fraction of the cost. (It's easier thank you think, look on YT!) I had to use more muscle than I expected to sink into the wood, but it was so easy to use and it's sturdy, it feels like it will last a long time.

This jig put holes to close to the edge causing the screws to break thru. Would not recommend better off financially buying the better brands!

I am not even sure if he has used it yet but he sure wanted one and this seemed to make him pretty happy. H3xsaid it was just what he needed
