for some reason it continually looses its prime. don't know ifthat's the fault of the pump or my system. I would appreciateany suggestions to correct this problem.Dan

I purchased this pump and the additional hardware needed to install it which is not provided. All total over $2000 I installed it even though no installation instructions are supplied.. I started it, and it went into priming mode as it should. However it never sucked any water up from my pool. I checked everything and tried several more times, but still nothing. I called Pentair and was only able to talk to a non-technical person who could not help me fix anything. I asked what the warranty was, and was told since I purchased it from Amazon and installed it myself the only warranty was 60 days on parts and nothing on labor. I also would have to hire a pool professional at my cost to diagnose any parts needed. Pentair technical support does not seem to exist. So now I will most likely remove it and hope I can return it to Amazon

This is an expensive but absolutely crappy pool pump. This was leaking within just a few months of install. Don't buy this!! Our last pool pump didn't start leaking until it was over 20 years. It would've been less stressful to just burn 2k then deal with this crap product.

Variable speed pumps are the way to go. There been little quirks here and there, but overall, it’s a good pump. I wish the warranty was more than 60 days. You would expect a company like Pentair to warranty their product for at least a year!

Purchased this variable speed pump to replace old pump because I was told it was quieter and would save me in electricity. Pump drive stopped working within a few days. I called manufacturer and they walked me through reset of pump in which it worked for a day and then went out again. They were going to send me a new drive and have a company out to fix out to but it’s been three weeks now and still isn’t fixed. My pool looks like crap.

It did not come with wiring. It looks like it had moisture in the filter. As if it was used before. It looks like it has scratches. I would like a discount.
