I am pleased with this thing. I need it to insure enough air flow after installing DC fans in the custom built mini RV air-conditioner (actually a converted dehumidifier). It is working well for that. I do wish the instructions were better. I did figure out that if I move it around the output register rapidly it will give me an average as it seems to take a few seconds to stabilize. For the price it's great. I can say that the turbine is very free moving and will spin for a long time after spin up. Holding it out my car window (some distance out) agrees well with the car speedometer. How long it will last I can't say.

Shuts off too soon. The middle section is too small and makes it Hard to hold onto when it’s very windy out.

I purchased this unit because I don't need all the features of some of the higher priced units and this was the lowest price for this model of the several sellers on Amazon. This unit is also rated at 45 m/s (100 MPH) and not just 30 m/s (65MPH) that most other low-cost units are rated for. I have not had an opportunity to use it for my intended application, but I have been playing with it using a beastly fan and it is reading about what I would expect it to. I am pleased so far and happy I got what I needed so inexpensively.

Took out of box, put in batteries, read instructions, and it would not turn on. I'm returning. I'm just about done with Amazon's Chinese junk. More trouble than it is worth.UPDATE: Easy return. Good timing on replacement. This new unit seems to work smoothly. Yay!!!
