I just got the second one in and it is a first gen! No cut height adjustment. Just warned only the gen two has a blade adjustment.

Tried to use it on .22 Balic Birch ply and the engine bogs down after about 3 inches. It cuts great for about an inch, then it loses it momentum. I switched to .12 ply with mdf core it has tear out from beginning to end of the cut, which is still about 4 inches, then the motor bogs down.

I bought this to use in my hobby, scale modeling. It does a fair job of cutting on light materials. On thin balsa wood the cut is actually ragged, an exacto knife does a cleaner job but you don’t get a square edge. It’s ok on plastics if not too thick but forget it on any hard woods 1/4 inch thick or more. It seems a bit under powered.

The assembly instructions were too sparse but I figured it out after trial and error. The instruction video on how to set up wasn't related to this product. Once I got it together, I had to change the blade to the wicked looking blade to cut my wood slab that was only 1/8" thick. Work slowly and be careful to keep fingers away from the rotating blade.I would give this a higher rating if there was more support at the beginning. I like what it does for the small jobs for me.
