I liked the book and the photos very much . The rubber extension bands to use were not included and no information given to tell me where to find these bands to use to complete the exercises. That is disappointing!

The book doesn't tell you what resistance bands you need to do the exercises until page 33. It would be nice to know what bands I needed in advance so I could buy them with the book. I read through the book and the exercises look good, however, I haven't yet tried any of the training since I have to get the bands!

I like the book. The different ways one can utilize bands to exercise their body. You can take bands everywhere you go. No more excuses why you could not exercise.

Bought from a promotional email by Amazon. It made it seem that the bands were included. They were not. Returning the book. It’s not that great of a book. It requires a variety of bands. Meaning you need to buy a variety of band sets to get the few that you need. The exercises are very different from what I experienced in physical therapy. I thought it would expand on what I learned in PT. Everything was disappointing from lack of bands to the type of exercises.

Several things going on here: I am not athletic and never stuck to a gym membership because I was lost trying to figure out how to use the equipment or free weights. Now I'm a year post hip replacement and my formerly athletic husband is still fighting to regain his mobility after a stroke several years ago.His rehab therapists sent him home with resistance bands, but I've never seen him use them. He is losing muscle strength. This book suddenly presented itself: Easy Resistance Band Slim-Down: The low-impact way to get leaner and stronger in 28 days! I remembered a friend of mine I hadn't seen in awhile turned up looking fabulous and she said she was using resistance bands. The bands are here in my house, I don't have to go to the gym, and the book is written by a personal trainer who has already laid out the workout plan. OK. Take a chance. The book is laid out well. It's colorful, visually pleasing, and the print easy to see with my regular readers. The contents pages are color coded, large print, and crisply laid out. It will be easy to find what I'm looking for.Chapter 1: The Power of Resistance BandsChapter 2: How to Get Real ResultsChapter 3: Your 28-Day Workout PlanChapter 4: Exercise GlossaryAbout 100 pages follow the Glossary with Exercises for Light, Moderate, and All Out Resistance Training, Cardio, and Total-Body Reset Exercises. What I like is that there are large photos on every page SHOWING what to do and how to do it properly. I also like that the female trainer is in shape, but is a mature woman - not a skinny Minnie 20-year old.I don't want to set unrealistic goals and expect to go from couch potato to the resistance band olympics in 28 days, or to aggravate already hurting knees. Do what I can do and it will be more than I'm doing now.I also want to help my husband in the same process. If we work together perhaps we'll both get stronger, and we can watch each other's form to make sure we're doing it right. If it's not fun working together, we won't do it for long. I'm sure every time we repeat the 28 day loop, we'll be able to do more than the previous round.I was able to recover my mobility after hip replacement by doing rehab exercises at home; my surgeon didn't send me to physical therapy. I know simple repetition of the right movements will be beneficial. So I'm not having to deal with the expenses of gym membership, gym clothes, a personal trainer, equipment and all the time and effort and gas it takes for the round trip to get there and back. The personal trainer wrote the book, included rationale, a workout plan that obviously includes a variety of exercises, and the photos of how to do them.We have a variety of bands already and if we need more, they aren't expensive. After we use the program for a bit, I'll update this review. I really think this is doable for us, even if we're seasoned seniors.
