This is a good alternative to additional arms for your compass and a lot more sturdy if you want to draw big circles.

Plastic and flexes a little. If you don't need super accuracy it's great. Much better than a string and a nail.

Is this a toy? It doesn’t even lock into place no matter how hard you tighten it. Even if you carefully use it, there’s no way to make a perfect circle. What is this, originally? A failed prototype?

Very impressed. Will work well for layout of bowl carving.

I loved how easy it was to scribe such a wide range in sizes of radii. I do not like how flexible and not rigid the plastic arms of this compass are. As your making the radius the arms are bending in and out making for an imperfect radius.

I made it work for what I needed, but the plastic slips constantly at the joint. Unless you use pliers to crank down the wing nut, and I mean hard, it will slip out if place every time and you won’t get a perfect circle. What it should have at the joint is a circle of molded ridges that fit the two legs together and prevent slipping.

What a piece of junk! Anyone giving this more than 1 star is either NOT a woodworker or a paid liar!No measurement markings, cheap flexable plastic that is impossible to get a perfect circle. The picture is of it where it belongs...IN THE TRASH!If I wouldn't have aleeady thrown the box away, Amazon would be getting this trash back.

I was drawing circles between 23" and 36" and the plastic arms made it somewhat difficult to maintain precision.

Ce compas m’a été très utile pour mes besoins. Par contre, il manque de rigidité pour être un outil de précision.
