I really like this type of box. It's inexpensive , sized accurately, has a nice finish, and it's easy to cut for mounting components through. I do wish the screws were captive, but other than that it's a great project box.

Sturdy box. More sturdy than I was expecting. I would have liked to have the spacing of the mounting pads inside the box. Hard to measure inside the box. If a panel insert with pre-drilled mounting holes was available, I would have bought it. I'll buy more for my future projects.

I purchased two boxes for my sim. I made a dash with LED rpm/flag lights and another for the switch box. They're very sturdy and easy to drill and work with.

The plastic is very easy to drill and machine with no fear of cracking. The gasket "string" is a cut to fit type, but is easy to install and seals well. The best way is to begin inserting it in the lid groove and when you get around to where you started cleanly cut the gasket just a little longer and then tuck it in. This way there is some tension to keep the two ends together for a good seal. Once the lid is mounted to the box the compression will further compress the gasket for a leak proof seal. The lid screws have brass inserts to thread into which makes for a nice fit. Highly recommend.

I searched for hours to find this and couldn't. Then Amazon emailed me with the usual 'based on your' subject and they'd found exactly the right size for me. I've installed it. It works. Easy to drill the holes where I wanted. And I've got ventilation holes where I drilled them in the wrong place. Everyone's a winner!
