Disabling 0-cylinder mode while coasting resulted in a notable decrease in fuel efficiency, with a loss of 2-3 MPG, as the engine continues to fuel and fire the injectors even during coasting. This fueling also creates an unsettling sensation during deceleration, as it feels like the vehicle is still accelerating slightly, despite 0% throttle input. This requires harder braking, especially in scenarios like towing or descending a long grade, leading to undesirable driving conditions.

Easy to install directly to the ECM. I even got 3 - 4 miles per gallon. I read all the facts about going from 8 - 6 - 4 cylinders while driving...it causes lifter problems and oil consumption. So I purchased this to keep my engine in 8 cylinders mode at all times and it also stops that annoying auto shut-off! Great product for 2022.5 - 2024 GM vehicles with 5.3L.

2022.5 LT Trail Boss 6.2L.Plug and play. 200 miles since install, no issues. No more auto start/stop. Full timeV8. Love it. MPG diff is negligible if any. Make sure to pull the negative battery cable before install and the inner wheel well liner will be pushed back a bit after install but no worries. TPMS will show 0 PSI until you drive it for a bit then sensors will wake up.Buy it, install it and let er rip bud.

I disconnected the negative battery cable and installed the module. Connected the battery cable and the gauge cluster was black. Truck would not start. I disconnected the battery cable and removed the module. Truck started and has a check engine light now. Now the truck has to go to the dealer.

Bought this for my 2024 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate 6.2L V8.1. Fixed DFM issue. I was unlucky with my truck in that it has rough vibrations at highway/coasting speeds. After taking it to the dealer, they found nothing, no codes, and did not acknowledge that anything was wrong. After playing around with things and putting the truck into L9 instead of Drive, the rough vibrations stopped. My research shows that L9 turns off the DFM for my model. The problem is that I’m limited to 9 instead of 10 gears. Another problem is that I have to put it into L9 every time I start it or shift into reverse. This Range unit shuts off DFM entirely and I haven’t noticed anymore of the rough coasting. My guess is that my truck’s DFM is defective and I just had some bad luck. Highway mpg (75mph cruise control) increased to 22mpg from 18mpg after shutting off DFM. This is probably not typical for everyone.2. Shut off auto start/stop, but the button light still lights up. Nobody wants auto start/stop, it’s a dumb feature, and worsens my overall MPG. The manufacturers want to force it to turn on because they know everyone would shut this stupid, annoying, and useless feature to stay off. It’s off for good now and my truck feels acts how a 6.2L V8 should act.

This is a must have product, 2023 ZR2 silverado. I've already had one engine failure at five thousand miles. This product will save my new engine from total catastrophic failure. The truck just runs so much better After installing. No lag or hesitation on takeoff.
