Purchased for use in the machine shop at work. So far, its only seen light duty but has made quick work of it. I feel confident it will continue to provide good results!

I'm not a mechanic but I am handy in all trades. As such, I find myself needing a tap and die on occasion. This kit fits the bill. It works well for my infrequent use. I've used nicer ones, but this works just fine. As you likely know, there's always a bit of stress using a tool like this, most of the time it's pretty critical to get it right the first time. I'm confident using this tool set, particularly for softer metals. If I needed to use this on harder metals where I only have one shot at getting it right, I might chose to buy a more expensive tap for the job.Note that this is a metric set, so if you have to use SAE for either end, you'll need different taps and/or dies. The price is fair at around $35.

The basic premise for this tool is good and it works fairly well...BUT...It has one fatal flaw. There are 2 chucks with this...one for small taps and one for larger taps. They must be inserted into a third "carrier" that fits into the ratcheting handle. And here is the fatal flaw....there is NOTHING that holds it in the handle. It just falls out. Normally there would be something like a spring loaded ball or maybe a rubber retainer of some sort but in this tool...nothing. It works for what it is made for but extremely annoying when the carrier falls out. And the fit is not even close to retaining it. Does it work?...yes...would I buy it again....NO...the lack of a retainer is annoying to the point of overshadowing its good points.

I'm pretty sure I paid extra for early delivery and it appears my purchased product is sitting in traffic??

The YIYEIE Ratcheting Tap and Die Handle is an amazing tool for anyone doing threading work. The 5-piece tap handle set comes with an extendable feature that makes it incredibly versatile and easy to use in tight spaces. The ratcheting mechanism is smooth and efficient, making threading tasks much faster and less tedious. The ratchet tap socket is a great addition, allowing you to switch between forward and reverse with ease, and it feels solid and durable in hand. The extendable handle is a brilliant feature, providing extra leverage when needed without sacrificing control. For anyone looking for a high-quality, reliable tap and die handle set, this one is absolutely worth it. It’s made my projects so much easier, and I highly recommend it for both hobbyists and professionals!

This tap and die holder has good build quality and can handle both smaller and larger taps, as well as standard-sized dies. One nice feature is that it comes with a small handle for holding taps, which is really handy for fine work in tight or confined spaces. The main reason I went with this set is the ratcheting feature on the large handle, which is a novel addition. It makes tapping through softer materials, like aluminum or plastic, much faster since you can go straight through without needing to reverse to break chips. However, it’s not ideal for harder materials, where chip-breaking is a must to avoid breaking your taps.Overall, I’m satisfied with this set, and it’s been a nice addition to my toolbox. If you’re working with softer materials and want to speed things up, this tool works well.

This seems to be a quality piece. It has two different sized tap drives, similar in operation to a drill bit holder. Once you figure out how they go together, they are really handy. However. to use the tool to drive a tap, it must be a hex tap. Regular round ones won't work. Although I have a couple of tap and die sets, none are hex shaped, so if I want to use this very handy tool on taps, I will have to buy a set of hex taps. Around $100, in any places I've found them so far. However, they ARE heavy-duty, so there is that.

Pretty solid and versatile, the ratcheting feature is the reason I am getting it and it's working as expected. The only cons is the adapter sometimes slips out of the screwing cap that holds it if the angle isn't lineup.
