The first thing I noticed was the finish on this handle. It was very well sanded, and has a nice smooth seal coating. I normally have to do a little trimming and sanding on replacement handles to get them to fit, but this one didn't need any modification other than trimming off a little excess protruding from the hammer head once it was installed. In other words, it fit perfectly. I'm very pleased with the ergonomics, and after replacing MANY handles in this same autobody hammer for 35+ years, I can honestly say this is the best handle I've come across. Yeah, I'm very happy with it!!!

I was happy to find a handle to fit my body hammer. I bought a second replacement for my other hammers. Amazon was the only place I found the proper replacement handle.

Broke my favorite body hammer handle and replaced it with this handle. Good feel in the hand. Back to my favorite body hammer again.

I had a sixty year old body hammer that belonged to my dad that had a broken off handel. I took the chance ordering this handle hoping it would fit this old hammer. The replacement Handel was a perfect fit. The wood has a nice straight grain with a nice finish and comes with a metal wedge. I did not have to do any fileing on it to make it fit. I just needed to trim off a bit on the top end after installing it. This is the only handle I have found that has the proper shape to fit a body hammer.
