We replaced our old dome because after a few years the bulbs didn't last very long and started popping in the dome regularly. We received this one and it is more compact and takes up less room without being less powerful. I really like the dimmable features to adjust temperature. Even though it's compact it is also deep dome. Which means the longer bulbs fit in there perfectly and also the reptile isn't at much risk touching it since it doesn't stick out. Ours is on a hook that stops just before the mesh top for safety though. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. 10/10

So far these lights are working great. I like that each one has 2 separate switches so you can run 2 different lights at a time, or 1 on and 1 off. I’m using them for my red eared slider, so each has a day light and a night light. Very convenient setup so I can turn 1 on and 1 off on the same light fixture.

This fixture was ordered to replace a slightly smaller fixture that has been notorious for eating lightbulbs. This update has allowed us to bump up to a 150w bulb at both ends of our dude's enclosure (his cool areas are down below), and add a mercury vapor bulb for the first time. We do have an arcadia bulb running the length of the back of the encloser but this gets UVB up to his favourite basking spot in higher concentrations.Heat dispersion seem to be good. We have had some reliability issues. It has turned off randomly a couple of times but we just reset the switches. The only other issue I have had is that it doesn't seem to work without both bulbs going. Obviously, there are going to be times where this may be an issue. I try to keep enough bulbs stocked that we don't run out, but invariably occasions happen that we do. There may be other reasons we might want one of them off or down. This is also the removable fixture on the enclosure - making it the travel fixture. Sometimes we just need one bulb for travel. In that scenario, this could be an issue.I'm not sure why it's an all-or-nothing proposition with this fixture. There are independent switches/dials. This may also be a fault with just ours. I was not able to get support for this item.

We are using this with a 20gal turtle tank. This is an excellent light for a turtle. Having two independent lights allows you to adjust the temperature of your tank. One is just an onoff type, and the other is a variable type switch. The housing is metal; you will need a chain to hang it. It is well-balanced, and we didn't have any trouble with it.It does not include bulbs.

One of the cords have a turn dial and it makes a weird sizzling noise and doesn’t sound safe and the light flickers weird from it. wouldn’t recommend buying

Bought 2 for 3 set ups, had to exchange one but that was no problem. They both work great.
