The first one didn't turn on. The second one has lasted a year no problem. Doesn't get too hot and is durable for my needs. Good size options and looks like any other long light. To me the value is there though it took a second try. I recommend.

It like this design much better than the rest. The hood that holds the reflector is solid and holds the shape of the reflector. Other more expensive light holders are flimsy and break easy. The bulb that came with it was reading 4 UVI 8 inches from the light. Not to bad. I'll buy this brand from now on.

So from the moment I started using this lamp, it flickers. When I adjust the lightbulb, it may stay on for a while. But God forbid you close the door and it no longer works again. The facets do not properly hold the lightbulb in place to keep the light on. Very disappointing. I’ve had to purchase another lamp for my dragon.

It is difficult to get the bulb into the socket onc you get the wrapping off. Just be gentle and it will work out. These fixtures and bulbs come wrapped very well so don’t get worried when the box comes in the mail. I have two 34†t5 10.0 lights and fixtures. One over my 3 smaller tanks and one over my two bigger enclosures. They work wonderful for breeders trying to cut down on electricity and the amount of bulbs you have to use. I use two bulbs two fixtures and it was 5fixtures and 10 bulbs along with 5 timers… saves a ton of money! They don’t burnout as fast as other repti brands.

I have been fighting and fighting other brands of fixtures, trying to keep the bulbs in the right position, keep the bulbs from blinking, just keep the bulbs from turning themselves off!! Then the bulbs and fixtures only last one or two months and then never work again! I was skeptical when I bought this light but I am so glad I did! It is a joy to use, it is better quality, and the bulb stays in place! It is easy to remove the bulb and install again, no fighting and wrestling with this light. The light never blinks and the bulb never needs adjusting to burn brighter or come back on. I can’t believe I’ve wasted so much money on cheap fixtures for years! Do yourself a favor and purchase this fixture.
