I don't usually like this brand, but their pads are good. I'd compare the fit and quality of these to the protec pads, which are usually what most people buy.Pads fit perfectly and feel comfortable enough - pleasant surprise to be honest. Unlike a helmet, there's nothing too complicated about pads, so these should protect just as well as most. They stay in place and don't slip around.The only thing that feels a bit cheap are the wrist guards - honestly, I'd probably get a separate set for the wrists, or if you're longboarding you're probably wearing slide gloves already, so...Yeah, can't say anything bad about these. The fit is good, they're a decent value for people on a budget, and they work as well as most other pads.

I like these protective gear except for the one defective knee pad I got. I initially just used the wrist guard and wasn't aware that one of the knee pad plastic cover was not attached properly to the cushion pad until weeks later. It still works but it is just a bit annoying every time I look at it and it feels a bit funny when I put it on.Other the than that the rest of the gear, especially the wrist guard, works fantastic, protected me from jamming my wrist onto ice quite a few times.Update: I finally have some time after the holiday and contacted the seller through their website and they responded right the way within the same day. The staff asked if I can send a photo of the defective item (same that I posted) and my address, and he sent me a replacement right the way. I received it 4 days after I contacted them.I have to say I am very impressed by their customer service and responsiveness, especially that I contacted them right after the Christmas holiday and I received the replacement on the last day of the year. I honestly did not expect to hear back after the new year. The gears work fantastic as I have said, I even recommended it to one of my adult ice skating classmate and she got the same thing in a different color. Now knowing that they really stand by their product, I will probably recommend it to anyone who needs these safety gears.

Retrospec Protective Gear is a set of knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards for rollerblading, roller skating, and skateboarding. They come in five different colors and three different sizes. Made out of thick foam and fabric, they have firm plastic on top of certain areas for extra protection. They attach with stretchy straps and Velcro. The Velcro straps do not have tighteners. The quality of the gear seems great so far, and the price seems fair as well. Although the Velcro fastens very near to the edge of the knee and elbow pads, it never seems to be scratchy. Also, the knee and elbow pads bend nicely when I rollerblade, and the wrist guards are very sturdy and never slip off. However, this gear is only offered in three different sizes and no sizing chart is offered. After receiving an adult size set, I found it too large and had to order a youth size instead. Even then, the knee and elbow pads seemed slightly loose, while going another size down would almost certainly be too tight. They are not falling off, but they are big enough that fastening the Velcro straps does not seem to tighten them. I would appreciate it if the straps were made in such a way that someone could better adjust the tightness. Other than some minor sizing issues, Retrospec Protective Gear is definitely a great product that is comfortable and effective, and I would recommend it to others.

Basic pads that I've been using while long boarding. I'm no means an expert and old enough that if I fall, things could break. This is a good set of basic pads and guards. Maybe a little tight on the wrists but otherwise a good fit and they do offer good protections for those sudden stops and subsequent unscheduled interactions with the pavement. I'm 6ft, 220lbs.

Only got these for the knee pads since I messed up my knees while skating. Originally thought they fit weird (I'm a small woman and these felt large on me). Any doubt in my mind was removed when I actually fell and it felt like falling on clouds or what I'd imagine clouds feel like if you were to fall on them. Didn't feel a thing. My knees were still bruised heavily from when I fell previously but even so, I didn't feel any pain when I feel on these. They might be hard on the outside and feel like the cushion in lacking but that's not the case. These are perfect!

I ordered the mint color and received the black. They fit but the wrist ones are a little uncomfy because my wrists are bony and there's metal supports on the back as well that rub against my wrist bone. The rest seem comfy and durable but I haven't tested them in action yet.

Me gustaron mucho, me compré la talla para adolescentes ya que vi en los comentarios que era la misma que la de adulto y me quedaron bastante bien, mido 1 55 y peso 49kg. La de los codos me quedaron un poco grande los resortes, tal vez si vinieran un poco más cortos. Pero de ahà en fuera están excelentes, muy resistentes y ya les he metido algunos golpes. Excelente producto, sin duda lo comprarÃa de nuevo

Comfortable, high quality, gives you flexibility and safety at the same time. Just a tiny little big big but I can wear it outside my winter jacket and even outside snow pants. Awesome products.

Excelente calidad a excepción de las muñequeras, el equipo lo uso en bici y por el manubrio ya que se des acomodaron los plásticos protectores pero nada que un re acomodo no solucione. El velcro y la tela de muy buena calidad y aguantadores. Tengo más de 1 año con ellas y creo que fué una buena compra! ðŸ‘

I researched a lot before buying - look no further! These are the perfect fit for the ages listed, and extend for older children - my small 7-yr old daughter and my older/taller/bigger 9-yr old son can wear them too - adjustable for different ages! Great quality velcro - a full strip all around, not just tiny velcro strips. Easy for the kids to put on and take off. Very happy with this purchase, and buying a second set for my son!
